Admittedly, I don't know dick about wrestling, but I know who he is and had no idea he lived in Ellerbe. Scheduled for auction Saturday, November 2 is the house and 47 acres. Has a couple streams and other buildings. Haven't heard if it sold or how much.

 

Anyone who's driven between Asheboro and Rockingham on 220 knows Ellerbe. The new 220/73/74 bypass skirts right past it now, but the old 220 went right thru it. There was one stop light in the middle of town.

Haven't been through there in a good while.  Pretty much take I-40 down to Wilmington (from Greensboro) now.  Might go next month as I enjoy the scenery more down that way.

All those years driving down the old 220 to Rockingham when I lived in Greensboro and then Martinsville, they finally get the bypass done and I moved to eastern NC... now it's only a 3-hour drive to my beach house.
