Today the Panthers have a chance to solidify their post season hunt status when facing the Atlanta Falcons. We all know that division games are the most important on the schedule, and today is no different.

 

Expect a tough physical game with a result within a single score.

Keys to Panthers Victory:

 

- Take Tony Gonzalez out of the game, force other players to make plays.

- Rattle Matt Ryan early. His confidence is at an all time low.

- Continue targeting Tedd Ginn deep. Just by trying the deep ball the short pass to Jonathan Stewart out of the backfield is more likely to succeed

 

Prediction: Panthers 20 - Falcons 13.

      It must be an early Christmas for JT O'Sullivan having Thielen back so he could put a coal in Thielen's stocking every chance he gets.  Honestly, the biggest surprise is not so much the anticipation. There were those moments here and there last year as well. It's that even that one positive quality he had seemingly vanished his first two games to where it looked like it was all but over, only for it to start coming back some until you get exclamation points all over this game film. And some of those throws were under a lot of duress, something I feel is something new. Finally, those deeper shots are starting to land. Not all of them, but enough that defenses may have to start respecting them. No guarantees whether this will end up as more of anomaly but I certainly hope it isn't. The Green Bay game was a sampler of what BY could be. Against KC, we got a meal. If we could start getting these meals regularly, we might actually have something to work with here.

      Heels let another team go up 20 on them but this time they complete the comeback. HD never seems to have his team ready but he makes great halftime adjustments. Powell played the majority of the second half and his defense was the difference along with his big three pointer to give the Heels the lead for good. Trimble and Davis were also spectacular. Carolina can’t let Auburn get out to a 20 point lead though, they won’t be able to come back from that.
