Where did you get the pattern or did you make it yourself?  I went online to find a pattern and was going to do something similar.  Looks good.

 

I googled Panthers stencil and went to the image search.  Printed out one that was black and white.  It's not made for a pumpkin so it was a little difficult to translate.

 

For the wording, I just typed "Panthers" in word and made it a large font, taped it on the pumpkin and traced.

 

Like I said in a previous post, the carving kit helped more than anything. I had to use the little saw the whole time.

I use the thin knife as well.  I also use the scoop to thin the wall of the pumpkin on the inside as well. It makes it easier to carve and less heavy when you have heavy chunks of pumpkin supported by thin connections.  After I am done I usually spray the inside and outside with oil or cooking spray to keep it from drying out so it lasts longer.  Otherwise it dries out in a day or two at most and collapses.  Again good job
