I've said it many times (and I hope it's not prophetic) but divisional games are always a crap shoot. Divisional foes know each other better than anyone else, and know how to gameplan and negate the other guy's advantage better than anyone else. These matchups can really go either way, every week. The best team in the league can struggle, or even lose to the team in the divisional basement. And yet for some reason, people always act shocked. (Or in the case of these Falcon fans, act like the game's already been played and lost.)

 

You know the Jets team that just got smoked by the Bengals? I mean absolutely embarrassed? Who looked completely lost and inept in every aspect of the game? Yeah, they just beat the Patriots last week.

 

The Falcon have had a crappy showing against the AFC East opponents (0-3), which is what hurts their overall record. But the only figure I really care about in this game is the Falcon's divisional record, which stands at 1-1, and includes a very close loss against the 6-1 Saints. So to me, this isn't even a trap game. This should be, and probably will be a nail-biter, and I honestly think it could go either way. We better show up, and play like a team with a winning record, because if we play for one second like we're going to blow them out because we've won two more games, we might get embarrassed.

I don't see the Panthers not being ready for this. Cam was speaking after the Tampa game saying the Atl game was huge. I think they understand they have to come out swinging.

I however do believe it will be 31-17 or something in our favor. No Julio, bangd up White (if he plays), Jackson had 11 rushes for 6 yards yesterday, abd Ryan threw 4 picks. As long as we can get pressure, we should rough them up pretty good.
