Trade Deadline is TODAY

That the crazy thing about the modern NFL. You have to win that ring with half your talent on rookie deals. They won't be able to keep everyone when Russel Wilson goes from $600k a year to $15m. Same with many of their other young stars.

Very true, which is why you build through the draft.

The best franchises draft well, overspend to make a run for a few years, then rebuild for a year maybe tow then back to the playoffs.

um what? players have been moved all over the league this year. it's becoming an increasingly growing part of building a team. well ran franchises aren't content to just sit put any more with "their guys" and lose games and smile because at least they didn't go and do anything "crazy,"

Told ya nothing crazy would happen. Teams would rather have their draft choices.

Sounds like this is it boys. Let's hope our 34 year old WR can stay healthy the rest of the year.

Panthers ain't about that life. To them a bold move is going for it on 4th and inches. Carolina strikes me as the team that just wants to win games and be entertaining. Nothing they do screams we're trying to win a Super Bowl.

By report I mean report to a big audience... I had actually heard it was first reported Beason was headed to NY by some lady that does celebrity news in North Carolina somewhere..

Glazer was the first credible football source to officially break the news from what I had read that night.

Glazer is the best in the business. Regarding the Beason trade stuff, I think u may be right about who reported it first. I don't know the exact source but I think it was a gossip/cleat chaser/social media website that broke the news then more credible sources like newspapers/beat writers ran with it.

Yeah....I knew right off the bat that Gordon wasn't coming here. The guy can play, but he's a failed drug test away from being suspended several games and maybe even indefinitely. I don't think that's a dynamic Mr.Richardson and the Panthers would want around this team. Too much risk. Panthers don't like risk. Been burned before.

Agree with some or your second sentence. I think the Panthers would be happy with a 7-9/8-8 season. Which is stupid. They have a legit chance to make some noise and are a potential playoff team. You gotta strike while the iron is hot. No guarantees they'll win games next season. I'm not going to even mention Cam, but if Smith goes down we are in serious trouble. They needed to bring in another offensive weapon, and surprisingly they did not.
