i think that contributes some to why he's so hated...he tells the good and bad truth about teams because he actually knows what he's talking about. As annoying as his voice sounds when he says it, he's knowledgeable

I had no problem with him until he accused the panthers of "home cooking" during a game in 2008. When he realized his mistake, he offered no apology.

When we're mentioned in a nationally televised game pretty much out of nowhere, I think it's pretty cool.

 

It's not like he was talking about the NFC divisions or anything like that... There was no context.

 

Just made me feel good about our defense.  It's nice to get that kind of respect, especially since it's deserved.

As heard on Sunday Night Football from Chris Collinsworth when he was talking about the Packers destroying the Vikings, and though the Vikings defense wasn't good, it was still impressive.  So why is this thread here?  The parts of the quote that matter to us:

Respect.  It's nice to have it for our defense... They deserve it.

I was doing some work for tomorrow while the game is on in the background.  I looked up when he mentioned us but thought, nah, he couldn't have just said that.  Hit rewind on the old controller and lo and behold, he did.

 

Atlanta game looms large.  We ain't there yet, but we are in the neighborhood, and it feels good.
