If we miss the playoffs at 9-7 or 10-6 and still fire Rivera.. We deserve to be bottom dwellers.

Oh I don't want those things. I honestly will be betting my money on those two teams to beat Detroit just like I said. Baltimore and Green Bay like always. Then I think they have a tough time playing in Pittsburgh and I think someone like the Giants could muster up and play them close late in the year - I think Detroit will face tough games just like us. It's hard for a team to show up and beat someone every week. There will be let downs.

So everyone will have letdown games except for us, something we are notorious for.

It's nice to want things.

We are fighting 9ers/sea, GB/Lions, for that last spot. That is for sure. Us and Lions have 3 losses, with 9ers at 2. We had better keep making hay, if we want playoffs. And to keep Rivera's job.

But being 10-6 is good enough, in my book Rivera held up his end of the bargain by getting us a winning record, not his fault the NFL playoff rule makers cant hold up theirs.

Split with aints, and 9ers/Pats combo. That is only 5 losses. We Host a Wild Card, win a rematch with the 9ers, and lose to eventual SB Champs, the Seattle Sea Hawks in the NFCC. Capping a great year for the team.

This place has gone full idiot mode lately.

We are 4-3 and people are talking about playoffs. We just got over 500 for the first time in 70 games. I sincerely home this team is more concentrated on being 2 games over 500 than playing in January.

The only thing that matters right now is the falcons game. Not Detroit, not New Orleans, not Dallas, just Atlanta.

We are 10-5 and on a 3 game winning streak. I see no reason what so ever not to be giddy. But hey, that could just be me.

The only team that can help us is aints. We are Wild Card bound unless the aints help us out.

The next three weeks will be huge our season, and his future.  We already knew that though.

To me, it is the next 5 games. If we can go into aints at 9-3, or 8-4 we could put some pressure on them. We are Wild Card bound pretty much. But if we can somehow spank them at that booble. Maybe we can put the fear of Zod in them?

Stopped reading at "Cam is playing like Peyton Manning".

Cam has pretty much been playing like this since he was on the field with Manning. The future pretty much started right after this game.

Wouldn't "don't feed the trolls" suffice?

No matter how good you think you are. And you ain't near as good as you think you is. You cannot out troll a troll. When ignored, they get butthurt and attack other posts if they don't get their own responses. Trolls be trippin'

It may be the most important game left.. As far as tie breaker purposes but we still aren't out of it to win the division.

If we beat the 9ers, that actually gives us a leg up, cuz we get that tie-breaker. To me that is our next must win game. Then the Fins in Miami, then at the aints, then...Well...playoffs. But yeah, beat the 9ers, the road to the playoffs is wide open for us.

I want to thank all that contributed to this post. Without you, none of this could have been possible.

Rivera is still better then Jon Fox.

I watched the game Thursday while at the gym, it was hilarious.  Cam is a good QB but his shortcomings are pulling down the Panthers.  He is getting better week after week but he keeps struggling when it matters.  Personally, though, I believe that in a rookies 2nd and 3rd years when they struggle the most is when they expose their maximum ceiling.  They regress to the mean at this point and you have a better feel for how good they could and will be.  Granted, Cam has the stats and creds to make some people "ohh" and "ahh" I think he needs a little bit more time to develop.  Dorsey has his hands full but is the perfect coach.  By default, Rivera is a good coach for Newton right now and for the next couple seasons while he builds his fragile confidence.  This kid is going to be better in a year because Rivera can trust him with his patience and guide him with his experience.

The Panthers are one of the top 10 NFC teams in the league.  It will be the Dallas', Phili's and other pretenders that will keep ya'll in or out of the playoffs.  That said, the NFC is up for grabs behind Seattle right now.

LMFAO!! Man your kidding me right. Ron better then Fox. LOL Your smoking crack to be thinking Ron is better then Fox. It only took Fox 2 seasons to get us to the SB. It's taking Ron 3 seasons just to figure out how to start finishing games out and winning. Yes Fox never had back to back winning seasons, but at least he gave us a good chance to win every game and we went to a few championship games under Fox. Plus Fox goes into Denver in his first season and has a winning season with The Golden Calf of Bristol as his starting QB. What has Ron done to say that he is better then Fox? Nothing what so ever. Ron is just now getting above .500 for the first time in 3 years.  Fox has done way more the Ron has and Fox almost won the SB. LOL Ron better then Fox. Get this crap out of here dude. Your out of your mind.

This team is not built to have "Let down games". We may lay an egg in stretches, but nothing on the scale as to encompass the whole game. Not in a long while my friend. Not is a long while.

This team still has a chip on its shoulder. Sounds eerily like a poo ton of Huddlerz lately.

Well, sure...when you say it like that.

This team has been playing well for a while now. Some folks see it. Some folks for some reason, don't.

Right now it's looking like we could be 10-6 and misses the playoffs. Looking like 2 teams will each come out of the West and North. If we expect to make the playoffs we better go 12-4 or 11-5. "10-6" won't be enough.

I don't see us losing 6 games. Only if that last game is a throw-away. So I see us at 10-5 and playing for playoff determinations against the failcunts.

Going to be fun this year no doubt. At least we are talking playoffs at the halfway point.

Look at it this way. If all goes to plan. We should be 9-3, or 8-4, going into the aints game. My giddy is in giddy heaven over the implications of that game.

Very few 10-6 teams miss the playoffs.

Look, let's not kid ourselves. If you don't believe by now. Nothing I can say will sway you.

Let Cam be Cam. Team him with our Defense. Keep the mistakes to a minimum. And you get what we have been getting. Since week 12 of last year by the way. Wins. Yup, I said the W word.

Wow lets think about Atlanta first then see how we match up against San Fran and the Pats before worrying about keep Riverboat Ron. He is showing he is a late bloomer on his first coaching job. Lets see how far his renewed philosophy of "nothing is by the book" get us before we say keep or let him go.

Yeah, sucks that Cam is completing 70% of his passes, running for first downs when he needs to, and playing better football the last month than he ever has. His regression to the mean sure has been a b#*#% to watch hasn't it.

Stockholm syndrome, or capture–bonding, is a psychological phenomenon in which hostages express empathy and sympathy and have positive feelings toward their captors, sometimes to the point of defending them. These feelings are generally considered irrational in light of the danger or risk endured by the victims, who essentially mistake a lack of abuse from their captors for an act of kindness

It doesn't take but 3 more losses to put us at 10-6. I'm optimistic but its hard to not see that. NO2x, NE, SF, and Miami are all tough games. You can even put NYJ up there too.

Very few team misses the Playoffs at 10-6. Sure but that won't happen in the NFC this year. A team or two from the AFC could make the Playoffs but won't be us. We somehow could but we would need a lot of help from Detroit and Chicago. You better hope both of the, goes 9-7.

Only six teams can make the playoffs. SF and Seattle are locks already. It's looking like two teams may come out of that North division: GB, Detroit and Chicago. So one team each from the south and east. We can't be 10-6 and hope to make it. We better aim at a 12-4 and worse 11-5 record to have any chance of making it.
