U guys are friggin crazy. No wide receiver in the league has got skills like fitz. Not even CJ or AJ. I've always liked him. And if he woulda had a good qb all these years he would have clearly been the best wide out stat wise. But yet he has Palmer, kolb, Anderson and so on trying to throw it to him. Look what he did with warner. He's still got 5 good good years left in him

Its got nothing to do with his skills. It's the price to performance ratio. We cant pay top tier wr money, top tier mlb money, top tier qb money, top tier dt money etc... We are going to have to make tough choices eventually. Larry Fitzgerald is a luxury item we can't afford and keep the team competitive.

trade? no.

make a bid in the offseason? absolutely.

You would go into the offseason bidding war for Fitz?

Seems it would be a cheaper proposition to get him now. Only 1 week left before the deadline, Arizona could be nervous about getting nothing in return or even worse having to outright cut they guy. He could be had for a 3rd with his recent lull in production(not his fault).

This is an intriguing proposition. Having Fitz would be the bomb. But like has been mentioned. Cost is a mitigating factor. He has gotten paid already. If he ain't greedy, maybe he would sign for less?

I would take him. But he has to be willing to sign a Gettlemen contract. Other teams will offer more. Will he play for us and a chance to win? Or take more money with another team he feels can win?

Ah hellz. This ain't happening. No Stud WR is going to sign here for what Gettlemen can offer. If we get our Stud, it will be through the draft.

Fans tend to forget that Fitzgerald also has a very high football IQ (which was on display perfectly last week). There'll be games where he'll be shut out but he remains a force for the offense because he knows where to find a weakness in the secondary.

We can get somewhere younger for cheaper

I really wish we finally do something instead of sitting around as usual

From a statistical standpoint, those numbers are pedestrian but looking at what Larry did in run support (two big blocks on Sherman) and finding the cracks in the secondary (specifically help over the top with Chancellor which kept Sherman off-balanced) for his fellow receivers and quarterback... that's far from pedestrian. Now, did his teammates execute? Nope, however, Sherman admitted after the game that Fitzgerald got into his head. Good enough for me.

Reaching and stretching.......

It would be a dream situation to get him at a restructured contract and on the field for another 4-6 years.  It would certainly give us a chance at more wins and potential playoff implications if he is anywhere on the field with Smitty.  I don't think it's feasible given the $$ but a nice moment to dream of the inconceivable!

    • I complete disagree. Who is available is extremely relevant. If you have a couple of players you would be happy with and you can still get them if you trade back, you should do that in a heartbeat. Being afraid that people will lowball you next year is an odd stance. Then you just say no next year, problem solved. In this particular draft you can get a very good player at 46. But to each their own.
    • I don't think so.  Watson really screwed them up.  I see something happening, but do not know what.  Cousins could be had in a trade--but they liked Flacco when he played there.  If it were me, I would not spend the #2 pick on Sanders.  I would go after a tier 2 qb because I think Will Howard is going to start in the NFL soon, and I think Ewers was rated very high at the beginning of the year--he knows adversity and he beat out a Manning while taking Texas to 2 playoff appearances.  I am not good at picking QBs, but I think Howard's run pass option and his accuracy is going to help someone.  Stay in Ohio and play for the Browns behind Flacco--
    • After Cam at #1, there are three or four elite players and there could be a trade--If I am the Giants and I am needed a winning season badly and I have several needs, I might trade out and pick up mid first and an extra second rounder, including a QB--while nobody is going to move up to #3 for Sanders, they might for Carter or Hunter.  If the Giants then move back, Sanders could still be in play.  That could be the trade in the top 3.  New England wants Campbell and I get that; Jacksonville at #5 could move back if someone wants Graham or Jeanty.  But barring some trade, the top 4 are probably locked in. So it could be 2 hours into the draft before we get any surprises. Nice list, by the way--you nailed it.
