If you include his rushing numbers then it is.

It's similar to RG3's numbers last year. Was he in the discussion for MVP? I can't remember.

What are his projected numbers for this season? That would be a better measure for discussing MVP. Newton is throwing a lot less but being more efficient and winning.

If you include his rushing numbers then it is.

Season stats:

Brees- 5,177 yards 43 TDs

Rodgers- 4,295 39 TDs

Peyton- 4,639 37 TDs

AP's nearly record breaking year

Calvin crushing the receiving yardage record

+ other QBs who have very similar numbers to Cam and have won more games

Yes, thers a small chance Cam would finish top 5 in the voting, but no where near the top realistically. Hes had great games, but don't kid yourself. Cam essentially padding his stats while throwing his 3rd TD while we are already crushing the sh*tty giants, doesnt mean as much as it could

-love me some Cam. Just being a realist

Cam Newton in his last 16 games: 290 of 475 (61.0%) for 3,720 yards, 26 TD and 9 INT. That's fairly decent.

8:49am - 27 Oct 13

And let's not forget the 800+ rushing yds and 8 TDs.

258 of 393 (65.6%) for 3,200 yards, 20 TD and 5 INT. 815 rushing for 7 TDs.

That's Bob Griffin 3 in 15 games last year.

252 of 393 (64.1%) for 3,118 yards, 26 TDs and 11 INTs. 489 rushing for 4 TDs.

That's Russel Wilson in 16 games last year.

We cam out in the second half, drove down the field, Cam threw a TD, we went up 24-0, to pretty much seal the fate on the Giants season. You are saying, he was padding his stat? I will also add, that IMO, that was the TD pass that reaffirmed to Cam that he gots this.

Let me ask? Out of our last 15 games. What more do you want?

To me, we have been this exact move the ball, score, play good Defense. Let the chips fall where they may, team, since Cam watched Manning dominate our, to us, pretty good Defense.

We lost the next game to the sux in typical WTF? fashion. But since then, Cam has been Cam, with a few bumps, and our record reflects that.

I understand the wait and see approach. Ariz sucked the life out of this org., Every time we appear to be climbing back out to the light. Some WTF? moment would happen and we get bitchedslapped back down a peg or two.

Then we got Cam. The excitement level went through the roof. Expectations ran rampant. Records came, excitement grew. Yet the wins rarely came. Then Cam is actually on the field with Manning. Two weeks later. The future started. Coinky dinky? I think not.

If keeping it real means ignoring what is going on. Then keep it.

Giddy the fug up already. And GOOOOOOOOO CATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They will find someting

Too bad too. They are missing out on the start of something special up in here. I guess some folks just need to fret.

Cam is back. And I give Shula a lot of the credit. Getting cam involved in the Offense game plan has gotten him back on track.

Let Cam be Cam, team him with our Defense, and you will get what you are getting. Wins.

If you are not giddy over this team. You just don't want to be giddy.

lol and peyton or brees don't pad their stats when they are throwing for 3rd and 4th tds while blowing out the opposing team? Come on, your point had merritt until you started talking about padding stats.

Steve McNair 2003 says hello. I can keep going too if you don't realize you're wrong.

Lmao wow. While youre at it, why dont u tell us how Cam should be in the hall of fame aready because he has better numbers then Joe Namath did 50 years ago.

Ok no one asked for a game by game analysis. You ask "what more do I want?" Well, as a panther FAN, nothing. As i said, hes been good and I like Cam. However, as an MVP voter what more do I want? A LOT. Since i just listed for you at least 5 players who put up better numbers/record. And thats not counting the guys who are on par with Cam and have similar numbers
