Chris Wesseling (NFL.com) giving Cap some props

In his Making The Leap list for week 8, Chris Wesseling says that Captain Munnerlyn is a prospect to make the leap to difference maker for our team.

Munnerlyn is following through on his bold offseason prediction that the Panthers can be the NFL's top defense. With Munnerlyn anchoring an unsung secondary, they rank in the top five in almost every important defensive category. Munnerlyn now has four career pick sixes, tying Mike Minter's franchise record. He hasn't allowed a single touchdown pass this season after surrendering only one in 2012.

Cap was always tough in the nickel package as far as I'm concerned. He's definitely an asset and someone you want on your team (IMO) if at all possible.

Smitty plays just fine vs 6'+ corners. Cap has shown that he can manage. I wish that his play was observed as opposed to his measurables

Yes but Smiths vertical is ungodly for his size. That's something not every short guy has.
