I don't see him taking the 20 mil a year range.  More like the 16-18 million range...Maybe try to back load his contract or lower the overall price with a ton of incentives.  Cam is a brand already and looking like a greedy pro football player won't do his image a great thing....at least I don't think so....He'll get paid but he wants to win and maybe his misery in the first two seasons will make him realize we have to pay other players to keep your butt off the turf and to get some wins and hopefully a superbowl ring in the future.  KEEP POUNDING!!!!

They will wait. Lock Hardy up this offseason. Fix the cap, gives Cam what he deserves next year...hell he has a 5 year contract. No rush. Although we do run the risk of him tearing poo up for the next year and a half and really raising his price; but in that case it'll be worth it.

But let's say, that along with that can't miss prospect from FSU, that's an undeniable talent coming out at corner or WR, the best since Deon or megaton... I take that player and roll with Cam since we know what Cam can do and that QB from FSU has yet to play an NFL snap...

I love cam and he is the future of this franchise but there is no way we are paying cam a 100 mill or over nor will any other team for that matter. Its all about production stats don't justify your contract when your a qb if helps but they look at everything he needs wins. All my friends that I talk to that are in the NFL always tell me thats why its always more pressure on qb's to win and at least make the playoffs for that healthy contract. Any other position could get what they want with just good stats and poor winning percentage

Good thing Cam isn't a franchise QB.  Right now he is worth 6yrs/75mil.  If he is smart he would wait til the end of next season to renegotiate his contract. to get 18 mil a year he will need to make the playoffs and win one game.

Even if he doesn't win a playoff game I think there's a chance he could become the higest paid QB of all time as soon as this offseason. Look at the contracts JR has signed off on in his time here. Look at the dollars given to Deangelo and Stewart for instance. Cam is the real deal. This owner is going to pay him big and anyone not guessing in the triple digits is way UNDER I would think.
