49ers and Pats. Which team do we have a better chance at beating?

The Panthers have traditionally had issues adjusting play calling to teams with an effective pass rush.

They also have had issues defending against the better teams in the league utilizing the short pass and screens to counter our strong pass rush.

If the new and improved Panthers can address these issues, they win both games.

If the not so improved Panthers can't address both of these issues, they lose both games.

Seriously! Has anyone even watched Kaepernick this season? He's been downright awful and/or mediocre at times this season. Force him to pass in the pocket and he'll make mistakes and inaccurate passes. Like RG3, he's a one-read/two-read QB and then proceeds to scramble.

Have you seen his WR core? Wait until Manningham (who will play against us) and Crabtree come back to judge the kid with 16 games under his belt and more playoff wins under his belt than all the other young QBs in the game.

I will say, I think our home crowd will be rocking the Fug out of BofA if we go into the Pats game with a winning record. Prime time, Panthers above .500 and the first chance for super bowl revenge since 2003. I think our "12th man" shows up for that one

We played the Patriots in a SB XXXVIII rematch in 2004, and we won. IMO, that was our revenge. I remember it very well because I was at that game. That stadium was rockin'.

Edit: Sorry, I notice you already realized your mistake. Oh well, that victory over the Pats in 2004 was still awesome.

Both of them are completely winnable, and losable.

yep. I was gonna say there's not a huge difference. Pats will have prime time in our place and they have a weaker D, but Brady could torch us. Niners are very reliant on the run and teams are struggling to run against us. So I could see us winning both or losing both, end of the day I'll take a split

Manningham? He's lost a freaking step. Mario is dropping passes and his explosive first step is gone. There's a reason why New York didn't resign him. And that's not me talking. That's Niner Nation.

Regardless, there is no excuse for how Kaepernick has failed to make routine passes and good decisions this season from the pocket. His accuracy especially has been scattershot. It has nothing to do with Crabtree being absent. Boldin is just as valuable. The fact is he's locking onto two targets (like Newton was) and making questionable choices. At the end of the day, Colin has no excuse. His O-Line has protected him extremely well and he is still missing his mark by 5 yards.

You're 100% correct, all I'm saying is he's 16 games deep and has already proven more than others. Is he suppose to look like Brady at this point in time.
