Who to root for this week

I root for the teams in the cities that I have lived in. I don't see much wrong in that. I was born in NC - so I will root for the Panthers over the Seahawks when it comes down to it. But, I've spent half my life in WA and half in NC - bound to grow attached to the team that is there. Just so happens to be another NFC team.

I want to see dysfunction more than wins and losses. If a team we play melts down that could have a more direct affect on our chances of beating them.

 

 

I'm keeping an eye on New England. To me, that is a key game for us. It's at home on monday night. It's a game we can close the gap on New Orleans with. They have some key defensive players injured and some key offensive players returning but that will be a huge match up if we can make it there with a winning record.

I will pull for whoever I need to. That doesnt mean I gotta like them. Pulling against a team that benefits us is the same as pulling against us!!!! Go DALLAS!!! I want Dallas to beat them so badly they lose ALL confidence!!!

I really don't understand the OP's continuous references to a wild card either... Why worry about a wild card when you win your Division?

Absolutely. NOT pulling for Seattle. How could you? Bradford is out for the year and we also have head to head with the Rams so they are no threat. Long shot as it may, we could still have a better record than Seattle. Or, perhaps, they end up tied with SF but SF wins the tiebreaker with them, and we can still win the tiebreaker with SF. If nothing else, I don't want them to continue to win, build momentum, etc.

Division wins will take care of winning the division, but this is a scenario, so all possibilities were considered,  including wild card. But the choices are made based on winning the division first, of course.

Dallas will probably win the East and Detroit losing will only help our chances of making the Playoffs. If Detroit keeps winning, "two" teams may come out of the North when the other two already coming from the West. That means we will have to keep winning or NO keeps losing. Only one team will come out the South now.

 

SF vs. Jags : Jags

 

Buffalo vs. NO : Buffalo

Giants vs. Philly : NYG

 

Atlanta vs. Arizona : Arizona

Washington vs. Denver : Denver

GB vs. Minny : Minny

Actually it would help if Atlanta just goes ahead and buries the Cardinals because I can see them getting hot like we do every year, at the end of the year. The Falcons suck so they won't contend regardless.

Seattle needs to lose. Nobody wants to travel to that stadium come January.  Detroit also needs to lose, good pick.  That Buffalo game will be the biggest one this weekend, obviously.  Let's hope they can pull an upset and we can sweep the aints!
