Cam and 1st downs

Bitch #2 who obviously hasn't been watching Tolbert very closely.

God forbid I critique the perfect and omniscient deity that is Cam Newton.

Point being, celebrating first downs should be beneath a guy like Cam. Again, no problem if he pulls off an incredible scramble, but really? A QB sneak? He's too talented to showboat after a play he should make 10/10 times.

listen newb i probably already know this. i mean i do have way more post then you. yes we are 4-3 but we havent done nothing yet. the teams we face have a combined record of like 5-22 so how much is that really saying. i more concerned about being focused for this upcoming stretch to see what we are about. you think harbarugh or the hoodie is going to care about Cam's first down celebration i think not. they are more worried about seeing the superman celebration. grow up this is a mans game not a game of kids

No offense but you're the newb.  Signed up in 2013 and have the nerve to call others newbs.  For all we know you're just a bandwagoner, riding the wave of our strong finish at the end of last season.

Lighten up man. Cam is a kid who loves playing football. First downs are pretty important in football you know. So let him celebrate.

Qbs his age are leading their team to playoffs....he is busy celebrating first downs....tragic Tragic!!!!

This thread is as good as any to post this request: Can we have a sub-forum where the minimum age is 21, the min. IQ is 100, and max. BAC is .08?  On second thought, that last requirement would eliminate 3/4 of all weekend posts, but then again, that might not be a bad thing either.  Pie should also be automatically given for good spelling/grammar/punctuation.  Even that wouldn't help in comprehending many of the posts in this thread.  Ditto for the Luke and Ginn threads today.

Carry on...

Ive been watching Espn all day long. Cam is getting alot of praise for his maturity and his dedication to preparation. However multiple people have brung up his 1st down celebration pose( skip bayless, steven A, Herm edwards, etc). I love Cam to death, thats my quarterback but i do not like the first down pose at all, never have and never will. the pose just rubs me the wrong way and im always like why are you doing that now its just a first. I really want him to stop. wanted to know what the huddle thought about this.

P.S  The Superman Celebration its totally deserved for touchdowns

To each his own. I don't think it's that big of a deal. Tons of players in the NFL celebrate when they've gotten a first down. Maybe they just punch the air or flex their muscles or do the first down chop, but Cam isn't the only one who does a first-down celebration. If he were, then maybe I'd be more inclined to say he shouldn't do it.

It obviously bothers the players. Just look at St. Louis. They were mocking Cam's moves early in the game...before they got their asses handed to them. Plenty of other players have mocked him as well. It gets under their skin.

They mocked his Superman celebration, as did Von Miller last year. That's just mocking, not outright anger,
