OK, I'm tired of asking. Where is B-Will? Wassup?

IMO, the 53 is too valuable to use to "stash" players for the future.  Especially when you look at our OL depth - or more accurately, the lack thereof.  If a guy isn't ready to contribute, it's tough to rationalize him being on the 53.  You gotta roll the dice and risk losing him.  Denver just did it with Tavarres King.  They obviously wanted to keep him, but had to expose him when they needed a player that could better help their roster.

People wanted Barner, they got Barner. Now fans want BWill. C'mon guys. It's not that easy. We got real lucky with Lester and White already. Just be happy.

OK, I tried to resist, but obviously some of you need some more entertainment.

This isn't a question of happiness. I am sure everyone is happy as hell. Moreover, fug luck. it's all just one big crap shoot. Luck plays its part in most every draft pick or rookie UDFA.

I could be wrong, but I don't think that there's anything wrong with asking about the specifics of a specific player on a team message board, especially when there may be someone among the thousands of forum members that may be able to provide a little more specific insight than most.

Da fug is wrong with you people today?

He was inactive last night. If they activate him, who do they put on the inactive list just so he can play a couple of downs for you clowns? King & McNutt  & A Smith & Fua & Thomas & Edwards were inactive too. Special team players have been doing very well (especially with A Smith not going out of bounds) so I do not see any upside to having any of them inactive. Mess with the defensive rotation? Nah. fug the offensive depth? I don't think so.

Not one O-lineman was inactive.

So. There. You have your answer. Specific enough?

Project player. That is all.

Perhaps. That's what I'm afraid of because you know what happens to most project players.  I could easily see us drafting another TE and moving him right on out the picture if it comes to that.

I could be wrong, but from the responses from this thread I sense that most believe that it's just a matter of time before Williams sees the field (after he develops more, I suppose), but I wonder if he is ever going to amount to anything on our roster being how little we've seen of him thus far.

The word was he looked good in Camp. Preseason? Didn't even noticed him. You expect him to come and play right away? Add his ability to block in the run game. He has Hartsock and Brockel in front of him. Chill down.

He is for sure in a reserve role right now as Greg's shadow. But look for him to get a shot next year after getting a year under his belt. He has more promise than past te projects because of his physical stature (something others lacked).

It's not guaranteed he works out but he will get his shot next year.

It's weird that Rivera seems willing to play inexperienced, lowly touted defenders but won't do the same on offense. Williams has had zero opportunities and Barner has had very few. Yet, our secondary is full of those types of guys. Then again, that's about all we have available for the secondary.

I have to imagine it's blocking related, but I'd still like to see him get a few snaps here and there. We're one injury away from being forced into having him play a pretty significant role.

The defenaive guys were thrown in out of need. Or Williams just isn't any good.
