Ginn

Funny how the stuff we heard about him before he got here is sticking with some people even though he has done the exact oposite from what we all Expected. So far I'm impressed with him and glad he is here. I'd say he sticks around and especially if he breaks a few long plays for TD's and keeps producing.

While Im loving him as a new threat to the Offense as a WR, I hope his punt and kickoff abilities start to shine like they did previous to our team, so far somewhat lack luster, but that also could be contributed to poor punt and kickoff coverage.

He is a avg WR that I would give a avg contract too. Way too many key drops for him to get big money. Same goes for LaFell.

Coming into last night Ginn had 0 and Lafell had 1 drop. (Olsen has 3 and Smitty 4).

Both have done very well with routes and separation. Two very solid second options for Cam. If anything we will have to worry about Lafell going elsewhere.

As for his returns, it isn't Ginn himself.  Watch kick replays.  The opportunities to break one by and large just haven't been there.  Kicks to (or away from) him have been good, as has coverage.  Give it time.  It WILL happen.

His performance as a WR has been nearly stellar relative to the number of times he's been targeted.  One drop, that's it.  Nobody is kicking him in the tail more than Ginn himself over that one.  Bet on it.  For another indicator, look up his target/reception ratio.  He is a playmaker.  His YAC potential is off the charts. I think we'll see more of him and Lafell out wide and Smitty inside, which worked a couple of times really, really well.

Ginn has more than lived up to expectations by a wide margin.  Assuming this keeps up, we need to reward him with a decent contract and our support.

Dude would've had like close to 150 yards on the night and a TD if he caught that ball.  He definitely deserves to have a bit of slack cut, that was his first drop of the year... albeit it was a big one and perfectly placed, he has been FAR more than I think any of us realistically expected.

The only part about that drop last night that concerns me is that he was straight eyeballing that safety coming in from the left.  He stopped watching the ball and was already thinking about the hit.

That's the only bad thing I will say about this game because, well, 4-3.

he's what i thought he would be as a returner.

he's a whole lot better than i thought he would be as a receiver and he's getting used really well.

been very happy with him and i think he and this offense are gelling nicely and are getting better.

Ginn has surpassed by expectations by leaps and bounds.  I liked him coming out but after a couple seasons in Miami I thought he was washed up.

You could tell how upset he was at himself after that drop.  I don't know if you guys watched him in Miami, but he never gave a poo there on drops and the like.  This is a different guy.  This guy may make mistakes - every WR does - but the plays he busts with his legs are amazing.

He's never going to be a true #1 I don't think but he is a true #2.  I think his presence has benefited the other guys tremendously since he started getting more play time because his speed demands respect - and he STILL beats people, lol

You're crazy if you aren't thrilled with how Ginn is playing.

He put himself in position for a ridiculous long TD grab and barely missed it. Then made the next 4 or so catches, some were pretty long gains.

49 and Dolphin fans continue to say the other shoe will drop, but I just don't think Ginn has ever had someone like Cam to throw him the ball.

Ginn has dropped one pass this year, though it could have been a big play. If he keeps it up, I would consider a little more than average.

I totally agree, the only other questionable one, depending on who you ask, is the deep ball he alligator armed, down the left sideline, in the Bills game. Other than that Ginn has been money...
