Melvin White made Vincent Jackson his bitch

Well, he was 30/50, which is 60% as I mentioned, not 58. And if you throw in the out-and-out drops, we're talking about 65%- does that make it more relevant as a point of discussion? I think not.

A 60% completion rate is not being achieved by more than half the starting QBs in the league right now, so it's not an insignificant number. And, again, against a winless team, etc.

30/51 according to nfl.com

anyway i get what you're saying, but the fact of the matter is you have to count drops too. drops happen when receivers get off rhythm, and receivers get off rhythm when quarterbacks get off rhythm, and both of those things happen when defenses fug shut up at all three levels of the game, which our defense has done.

Cool, point taken. Not necessarily directly to your point, I get it with the drops as having to count, but they have to count on both sides of the ball. Seriously, there are a couple posts on here suggesting the Panthers are a couple lays away from being 6-win team. So, while Carolina drops are considered relevant to the Panthers Super Bowl chances, when it comes to other teams drops or 2 third down shotgun snaps getting past Glennon, those are, in no small measure, a tribute to the Panther defense.

I'm just not ready to anoint the DBs as some apparently are willing to do given the mass hysteria and the loss of rationale, logic and reason which accompany a 3 game win streak and being over .500 for the first time since 2008. And if playing devil's advocate and pointing out the obvious is treason enough, so be it.

i'll agree with you there, without this front seven our secondary would look abysmal. or the corners at least, i think mitchell and mikell are pretty damn good.

A rookie QB makes 50 throws.

That rookie QB set a new NFL record for the number of passes attempted in his first four starts... also set the record after 3 starts. Just goes to show you no matter the read option, the wildcat, the shotgun- without a run game it's all bullshit.

And aside from the fact he looks like Napolean Dynamite, Glennon showed me a few things last night. He's definitely got an arm and he can definitely put some mustard on the ball. Just hope he's not David Carr-dead in a couple seasons.....

I am am always impressed that Belechick is not afraid to cut anyone, no matter the draft position. If you are not practicing well and demonstrating that you are a fit...you are gone!

You are absolutely correct.  We have been fortunate that no one has swiped any of our players off the practice squad.  We have stashed a few there that have made plays for us.
