We Blitzed Too Much

We've heen blitzing all season long.

Just most of our blitzes until last night, were much better timed.

We also have more blitzes than you can shake a stick at.

We got exposed?

There is.more game film on us. But that is true every week.

I think the bucs o line did a good job picking up the blitz , i know for a fact they were holding our de's like crazy

i dont think we blitz too much, we just arent getting sacks.  we do better getting sacks by good coverage, but they do make the QB rush passes.

Everyone does stuff that gets filmed.  There are few secrets to blitzes, stunts, ect.  Instead it's about timing and direction.  Some days those are well planned and executed.  Other days...not so much.  At this point, every team has tendencies.  Its a matter of how a coach uses them in the mind game that is pro football.  Like do you have a "show" that you can fool people with?  Like we blitz every time Hardy is in a four point stance, and that blitz comes from an OLB stunting around Hardy.  Why not have that same key, but then have Hardy drop into coverage and overload CJs side of the play?  That's what good coaches do, they figure out shows and manipulate other teams with them.

I should also mention that I am ecstatic about the win, and not seeing the glass half full here. Thread was meant to be half joke half stab at the Huddle's collective pessimism.

Our team is solid as a hole, but special teams kind of scares me.

Shitty blitzes and gave too much game tape away to our future opponents. Didn't like it at all. Especially against a shittastic team like the Bucaqueers.

 

We shouldn't have blitzed as much as we did because we didn't want other teams to have film on us? Really? The rest of the league has film on us. So what? This might be an issue if we didn't gameplan every week, but alas we do...We also have film on the rest of the league, so we can spot tendencies in other teams' styles of play. It goes both ways.

I would have liked to see them tone it down, and play more 1 man... instead of 2 zone.. but whatever. I like wins, and I like winning. ITs more if Captain makes one of the 4 picks he dropped.

 

God he had hands of stone yesterday... A corner with any ball skills would've had at least two picks yesterday.
