To those wondering why the Panthers are getting so much attention on NFL.com all of a sudden

NEWS FLASH!  The Panthers/Bucs game is airing on NFL Network.  What site is associated with NFL Network?  Oh, NFL.com.  No, the media hasn't all of a sudden taken a liking to the Panthers, NFL.COM IS PROMOTING THE GAME SO THEY CAN MAKE MORE MONEY.

There has been like 5 articles on the Panthers published on NFL.com in the past 4 days.  The only reason is because they are heavily promoting what would otherwise be a lackluster matchup of a .500 team and a total trainwreck sack of poo team.  Pretty tough to hype up the Bucs so they put all their eggs in the Panthers basket.

EDIT: for the record, I did enjoy reading most of the articles.  Especially the one by Bucky Brooks.

IMO, the Panthers need a Representative on that network. The majority of those on the show are ex-football palyers and have played with the majority of the teams in the NFL. The team biases are so obvious.

But I will take the NFLN over ESPN any day.

Shocking!

The NFL and it's scores of six figure earning marketing execs have concluded to promote the flagship of the weekly programming schedule for their network.

In other news: water is wet, a clear sky is always Carolina blue, and obamacare is really gonna itch whenever it finally dries.

Closest thing the Panthers have is Bucky Brooks.  While he never played for the Panthers, he was a scout for the team from 2003-2007.  He's from NC and when he writes about the Panthers it is usually well researched and fun to read.  Then you get the one minute videos with Brian Billick and some blonde bimbo asking "Is Cam Newton a Franchise QB?"

So it's really a crapshoot.

It's not just NFL.com, it's others to, i was listening to Mike & Mike this morning and Golic, Greeny, and Mark Shlereth(idk how to spell his last name), were all giving praise to Carolina about how "phenomenal" the defense is and that the Carolina front 7 (as well as Jets front 7) are the best Front 7s in the league and that "The panthers defense will drag you into an alley and pummel you"
