  1. 1. Is Cam Newton Our Franchise QB?

He has not been consistent enough nor won enough games to be labeled as our franchise QB.

This is the new talking point. Cam is the entire Panthers. If they don't win, it's his fault and that's that. No other reason for the Panthers losing but Cam. SMH

Even the media is now picking up on this BS. But one shouldn't be surprised. They were the ones who started the train rolling.

The fact that this is even a discussion is terrible. I wouldn't be surprised my self if he walks at the end of the contract. You can base it off wins and loses but what help has he had before this season? All around this is the same roster and coaching staff from the last two seasons now finally all sides of the ball are clicking, special teams, offense, defense and coaching. I think its time the Panthers start investing in their QB by surrounding him with some quality talent.

Just when Panthers fans thought the season was turning into yet another disappointing combination of blowing late leads and playing down to inferior competition, Cam has taken command of the offense and become very efficient.  He has not tried to force the ball to "the best" receiver, but found the OPEN receiver. He still has areas where he can improve, but he has absolutely shown he is the franchise QB.

The media narrative about Cam is very strange. I heard a guy on NFLN say that last year Cam almost got his coach fired and I thought, "what in holy hell is this guy talking about?"

Who do you guys think is coming out in the draft that could replace him? Keep in mind we probably won't have a top 10 pick.

Also, the "We haven't built around Cam and given him weapons" crowd is just as annoying as the "Cam can't win games" crowd. Many QBs have done well with less. With Rivera and Gettles at the helm, it's no shock they fixed the D first.

Cam started out very good and he's only getting better. Next year, he will dominate.

I had to laugh..

The NFLN host is talking to Warren Sapp about tonight's game and said that the Panthers Defense is doing their thing and the Offense have a talented QB in Cam and one good receiver. One good Receiver?!  It's clear who is carrying the Panthers Offense but we need to ask if Cam is the team's Franchise QB? Okay

The fact that this is even asked is fuggin stupid. We have the most athletic quarterback in the nfl and in afew years he will be one of the best.

You have to remember he was very raw with hardly any experience when we drafted him.

Now quit asking is he the answer at quarterback and be glad we don't a jar of pickles still back there.
