Cam haters, what you should have learned from the last 3 games

cam looks like that all the time... sad, really

You are both right--I think the best qbs are the best not because they make decisions quicker and get rid of the ball faster.

Cam will be terrific but he will need a better OL than Peyton has because Manning gets rid of the ball in 2.5 seconds.  If we get a stud line it will not only open the run game (something Cam needs too) but it will give him more time to process. According to PFF, Cam is toward the bottom in getting rid of the ball.

Many of our 4th quarter losses the last two seasons, Cam and the offense never even got the ball back.

We've invested heavily in defense, and done little to build around Cam. It's damn time we do so.

In the Buffalo game, the defense made the final mistake by allowing the last second TD.

However, the offense was given the ball inside the opponents 30...with less than 3 min to play....with a 3 min lead.  A TD ends the game.  They gained 7 yards and had to kick a FG.  So, their last minute failures had just as much to do with the loss as the defense giving up a late TD.

Both the offense and the defense failed late and were the reason we lost.

I'm not making any excuses for the offense throughout the game, they could have done more. However, not going for it on fourth and 1 with the game on the line and the opportunity to seal the victory with the weapons we have was just dumb and ultimately lost us the game.

Rivera obviously concurs, since he is going for it on fourth and short in those situations pretty frequently now

Issue is that MOST coaches would have kicked the FG.

It should have never come down to a 4th and 1 in the first place.

Coaching, offense, and defense were all suspect late in that game.

Just needed one of them to step up and they all fell flat on their collective faces.

good for cam.. cam, in all actuality, is a good qb... but honestly, when has he ever carried the team?.. to a win?

He is multiple 4 TD games that we won and ones he lead us in rushing and receiving we won....

How about our last prime time game? As one example of the above

Moments like that when crucial decisions need to be made are what separates the winning teams from the losing teams.

We played not to lose. Thank goodness Rivera seems to be finally changing his ways. Go for the jugular and hold no punches.

jags game?? wow.. they are pretty tough defensively...

better question: how many times could cam have come back and win and didn't ?

No timeouts, seconds on the clock, and asked to go 80 yards? Yeah, he has had lots of those he failed on.

Difference between Cam and many others who have pulled out late game wins.....there D got the stop or they get a shot with sufficient time to make a real comeback drive
