Ya damn skippy, they are going to port the same engine over and polish up the graphics - minimal investment. And that will be the formula for the next 8 years - sigh.

Really did enjoy the NFL2k with the quarterback drop rhythm passing.

 

Last madden I had was 11 but I had to get 25 for Cam, Luke, Star, the black pants and the black endzones.

 

I really only play online and I kinda suck but I enjoy it. Playing D with the Panthers can be frustrating because they can't cover anyone they are rated so poorly.

 

Kuechly is literally the best pass defender. I have more INTS with him than anyone. He is the only guy that reliably catches the ball. I can't tell you how many drops my DB's have made my opponent snags everything in sight. Is it me? Am I doing something wrong.

 

Really wise they'd improve the impact of the Dline. The Panthers have great DE's  and they barely ever make impact plays. Any tips would be appreciated.

 

I really hate it when Olsen goes out injured every other game too but I use him way too much, I probably deserve it.

 

Why are Cam and 34 so slow tho? Its frustrating watching Cam get caught by every DE in the book from beind while RG3 as super jets.

 

Why is McFadden so unstoppable, hasn't done poo in years. I guess the Raiders need some weapon but cripes.

 

Anyone got some favorite plays they use? I only use the Rivera playbook for some reason.

Not even. They won't bother to increase the polygon count or have better textures. They'll bump the resolution to 900p and ship that poo out, knowing that retarded fratboys will buy it thinking "yo dis poo will be NEXT GEN"

I will agree that the fluff is really unnecessary, but the core game play is solid.

 

I play Ultimate Team, which I believe is the best way to play (Pick your players, tailor your team to a play style, pick uniforms, play online head to head), but it takes some investment and patience. But you avoid "crappy" teams and players for the most part, allowing you to rely on your game play and skill.

 

Fluff and such aside, the core game play is excellent, and a lot has been invested in it to make it legit. I'm not sure what your issues are, but unfortunately my opinion has always been that complainers of the core game play just aren't good at this type of video game. You have to be good to have fun. Madden isn't really a game you just pick up and play.

 

I am pretty good at the game so I have a lot of opinions.

NBA 2k14 is poo. 2k has started doing the same thing Madden does. Strip features and then add shittier versions later and advertise it as new.

 

The big feature in 2k this year is assigning "flashy passes" to a button instead of giving a random chance. To do that they also stripped down the controls and put dribble moves and shooting on the same stick, so it's common to accidentally shoot when you're trying to crossover. They also haven't touched key features in years. My Player is still crap. Hell the press conference reporters still have women's heads on giant men bodies because they can't be bothered.

 

Just saying, the grass isn't always greener. Nobody right now is making great sports games.

 

No way.  This game rules.  Yeah the press conference drives me crazy, and the controls are a bit odd now, but pure gameplay is great.  I felt this year was a improvement, especially rebounding.  The animations and flow are way better down low.   I think they put time into actual gameplay and not some other things, but they do need to work on things.  The game is great though.  Last year was hailed by a lot of people as a top-5 sports game of all time.   Game is 100x better than Madden, don't be unfair :).

Zods right. I didn't even buy madden this year, first time since 1992 I haven't owned a madden game. EA sports has ruined a proud tradition. I can't bring myself to buy it. I know its that horrible. You can thank a guy named Josh Looman for this.

game is a POS.. bigger than last year even. Go read Operation Sports madden forum. Those guys do nothing but talk games and they say its as bad as its ever been. You dont hear people saying that about MLB the Show and NBA 2k

Ok all the hate needs to stop. No NFL 2k5 is not better than madden 25 in anway. Maybe the commentary but thats about it. I think alot of people rag on Madden just because its the cool thing to say. Madden is actually pretty good this year very few complaints. Your complaing about pregame show and intros come on dude stop it.

When I was in college there was a competitors game that retailed for 20 bucks. Loved it. I bought a special edition of madden for the NFL Sunday Ticket promotion. But the game itself sucked. Everything is bloated and complex. They make simple things like menus an overly ornate distraction and nuisance. We don't play video games for the "realness". Just make the game run smooth and entertain us. Also the guy that sets the Madden ratings is a Bucs fan. I loved Madden when I was a kid but it gets worse every year.

Madden 11, 12 and 13 showed some promise on the right track. 

 

Madden 25 reminds me of Madden 08. F- piss poor bad.
