How do you have to balls to claim you took us lightly.....considering we had you beat in your own home.  Shoot ourselves in the foot when we had the game won....and then you pulled off a miracle drive that hadn't been done in DECADES to squeak out a win.

I'm actually curious. How did you end up a Falcons fan?

In my experience, most non-geographic fans either have family ties to the area or just on as bandwagon fans when a team was succeeding e.g. Steelers and Cowboys fans.

Considering the Falcons don't really have a history of success, I'm assuming family.

Its either im older or ive seen too many horror stories with this team to be the one who tampers his expectations to a new level. :) 

 

Im not celebrating until the end of thursday night and unless were leading with at least 15 points per game from now on. Although ill say this.. i beleive we have Smith (Falcons) number this year. He has made his living by betting that carolina wont be as aggressive but not this time. 

Really its up to Carolina to get to the playoffs. Weve got to be willing to go for it on 4th downs against 49'ers , New england and Atlanta : im assuming that we will get tampa twice but really tampering my expectations.. get it tampering hahahha. :)

i'm guessing a couple years ago when the falcons were on their little rise and letsgoatl was in 7th grade, he and a couple buddies decided to be rebels and jumped on the falcon wagon and now think it's cool to be so different.

 

i have a hard time believing that he's anywhere near being old enough to finish high school.

A decade before the Panthers existed, folks in Pantherland had to watch either the skins, or the alt. team. Before alt. showed up it was only the skins. I could see some old timers rooting for both the skins and the Panthers. Ain't giving up the past, but I will embrace the new.

I grew up a Lions fan, but it was an already established franchise. 1 of the main reasons I am a Panther fan is the fact that I got to be there from inception. The process has been amazing. I don't have to read or hear our history. I am living it.

We are still a 1st generation franchise on the cusp of the 2nd generation. We are in our infancy. Sons bringing their sons gets us half the way there. When there are 3 generations sitting in the stands, that is when we are fully grown.

I don't know how you could be living in Pantherland and not be a Panther fan? The bragging rights of being able to say. "I was there in the beginning. Those we heady days I tell ya what."

I still love my Lions, but even they are 1b to the Panthers.
