Rivera- "Stewart to practice... Could play Thursday"

Biggest issue with Stewart or Barner....neither has been hit in awhile.

I still think RR screwed up last week. Barner should of gotten in late and taken some reps.

that would have been good. get him a bit acclimated to the field and his role while getting the team used to seeing what he can do and develop some level of trust in his abilitites. get his role a little established before stewart comes back.

they could still do that this week. let this week be the week they introduce barner and then the following week against the falcons reintroduce stewart and just beat the crap out of them. let his first game back be at home.

The question I have is how much do we want Stewart back. Williams has been overhwhelmingly average the past few weeks, but its come with us finding good rhythm; Tolbert getting more touches, Williams becoming very very effective on screens and the like. Do we want to upset that balance, is my question.

Not to mention, I frankly don't look forward to Stewart trotting out onto the field and aloofly pondering why everybody cares so much or why they want to win so bad when the plane is waiting to take them back home to bed.

I don't want Stewart's apathetic rear end upsetting our momentum.

What does that even mean? Since when does Stewart not care about winning or playing hard?

we are struggling to find balance now that things are settling in....that isn't a good thing.  We should be looking for ways to improve....not keep that as is

also this apathetic Stewart you paint is funny stuff

At this point Stewart has done nothing all year.  It remains to be seen what he will do. But he should get some carries in order to see whether he is 100% or not.  After we can't be sure that Williams or Tolbert will remain healthy all year and we might need Stewart to come up big down the road.  We are paying them all this year so why not use them?

And what exactly has changed? He didn't tear his ACL 3x nor did he blow out his achilles. Stewart is fine.

people forget that it was a sprained ankle. The surgery was precautionary and he has been rehabbing for months.
