I'm not downplaying Luck. He's a good QB but the hype isn't real. Did you not watch the Colts' D limit San Francisco, Seattle and Denver to average numbers across the board? Manning was hit all game long and those DBs kept Decker, D. Thomas, Welker and J. Thomas out of the end zone when it mattered. Sorry, Luck isn't Peyton or Rodgers or Brees or even Brady. He's doing his part in leading his offense but if you think Luck could take the 2011 Panthers to the playoffs, then you're delusional.

None of those QB's were elite in year two.

If you're gonna say Indy has a good D I guess that means Cam is nothing special either. His D is pretty damn good.

Luck's rookie season was not that great. Way over hyped. But this year he has played great. No way around it.

Of course they tanked for Luck. Wouldn't be so obvious if they didn't have so many 10+ win seasons in a row, only to go 2-14, get the qb they wanted and then go about their winning ways again... especially impressive when you consider they had to carry Luck his rookie year, with him turning the ball over left and right.

I'm the biggest Cam Newton fan. I wouldn't trade him for any other QB.

Just tired of seeing anything to do with Luck downplayed, disregarded, or credit given to every Colt but him. He is having a great sophomore season.

Again... point? I don't view Luck as a precision passer anyways. He's a good passer but he'll never be any of those QBs. Ryan is more cerebral and methodical than Luck for christ's sake. I don't care how you slice it. You know when you see a Peyton or a Brees or a Rodgers just like you know when you see a Favre or a Cutler or a Roethlisberger right from the start. Cam, for instance, is a gunslinger. He'll never be a precision passer. Neither will Luck.

Luck is without question the more refined passer of the two but the seperation between Luck and Newton is 1A and 1C.

I think that ESPN hates that they can't carry our games because of our agreement with Fox Network. They never show us in a favorable light during any of the very brief game previews of us they show. Even then they only mention how the other team lost, not what we did to win.

This isn't a dig at Cam. Our boy is plenty accurate with the ball but he'll never have stats like these throughout five straight games:

33/46 for 344 yards; 4 TDs

Cam is who Cam is, and I'm okay with him being a very good gunslinger.

People give the Colts too much credit for being this great ran team ala New England.

1) Very few players from the Manning playoff era are on that team.

2) Colts are a shitty franchise. They wasted Peyton's career and never built a team around him. They had a dominant D one season, and they won a Super Bowl that year. He had to carry abysmal defenses most of his career.
