his base salary jumps from 1.6M this year to 5M in 2014, it's insane

 

as an outright cut, we save 2.1M in 2014 but we go ahead and suck up all the dead money from his signing bonus and clear it off of '15 and '16

 

if we designate him a june 1st cut we save 5.1M

 

either way we'll save 15.6M from 2014-2016 by cutting him, that's huge
