6% of NFL.com viewers pick Steve Smith as Best WR

You see his kind of thing around the league(media and fan wise). They don't know jack sh1t about our players. These morons would put Steve Smith and Bernard Berrian in the same sentence. How quickly they forget that this man is the only triple crown winner in the past 20 years. He was the most productive WR in the NFL last season. But that doesn't matter because the Cardinals were the media darlings of the world and they were on Fitz's jock the whole way through the playoffs. And they never consider the fact that the Cards have a past heavy offense with another pro bowl WR in Boldin. If Smith was on the Cards or the Patriots he would absolutely sh1t everyone, more so than he does now, and he could potentially be HOF lock.

But its not just Smith, its Deangelo, its Beason, its Gamble, its Ryan Kalil, its T. Wharton etc. We aren't going to get the respect we deserve until we demolish the Cowboys on Monday night and shove a SB down everyone's f'kn throats and thats just how its going to be. We are a small market team, and we panther fans know how good our players are, and if no one else sees that than they can eat a dick.

First I want to say that Smith is an absolute stud and is one of the best recievers in the game. I wish he was a Cardinal. I have nightmares whenever we play you guys. He always breaks off a game changing touchdown it seems.

As far as Fitz, I did'nt realize he played the entire post season with a broken thumb. For a guy with maybe the best hands in the game, it makes his playoff run even that more impressive.

"After the Pro Bowl was over it was revealed that Fitzgerald had been playing at least the whole postseason with a broken left thumb as well as torn cartilage in the same hand. It is speculated that Fitzgerald has had this injury since November 5, 2008, when he showed up on the injury report with an injured thumb. "

As far as Boldin, the Cardinals proved they could win without him last seasons as was evidenced in the Carolina playoff game and other games he missed. Still we are way better with him them without. The emergence of Steve Breaston last season was incredible.

Funny, I bet if they polled all the NFL head coaches the result would be quite different.

more like- i bet if you polled NFL defensive backs the results would be different

DeAngelo Williams 22 121 5.5 25 2

Jeff King 21 195 9.3 31 1

Dante Rosario 18 209 11.6 24 1

D.J. Hackett 13 181 13.9 37 0

Dwayne Jarrett 10 119 11.9 25 0

There were only 13 catches different between Smith and Moose. So he was throwing the ball to other receivers. This belief that he only throws the ball to Smitty is bunk. It does drop off after that. But with the running game we have, don't need to throw it as much. But I do agree that, the team goes as Jake goes (ie the Arizona game). But isn't that true with most teams?

Uhh, Steve missed 2 games? try again

He's one of the best ever at his position---we all know that. One of THE main reasons he doesn't get enough press is because he is underutilized. We need to get the guy the ball more. Period.

That's strange. I thought the popular sentiment was that Delhomme passes him the ball too much instead of throwing it to other receivers.

Ummm, I could be wrong of course, I often am. But I believe he was talking about Fitz. He joined right after the playoff game...

I can't possibly say who is better between Smitty or AJ, here are their yearly averages since becoming starters:

Andre Johnson

81rec 1063yds 13.1ypc 5.5td

This is garbage, there's no doubt that Smith is one of the best WR in the league. But we won't get that type of respect until we can show consitency in the win catagory. We need to be dominant not just good, on a regular basis. Everyone needs to know what they are going to get from us
