The problem with Cam Newton

..................is that he's making me look dumb for having doubted him a few weeks ago! :) I'm still not convinced he won't fold under pressure if we make the playoffs and have a close game late, but I'm finally seeing signs of progress in the second halves of game (even though we did have a predictable 3 & out in the 4th at a bad time.) I mean, I like to think him playing well lately is because he read that I was posting mean things about him online lol.

Otherwise nothing much to complain about. Since we're about to go 4-3 (because there's no chance in hell we lose to Mike Glennon I will literally kill myself if we do), I'm weirdly, what is this feeling, optimism? How many of you can even remember a happy Huddle? How many of you guys were even here in 2008?

we could lose to Glennon and the Bucs... easily. We lost to Carson palmer and the Cardinals didn't we?

Part of Cam's improvement is that the team around him has improved some. Lafell is becoming more consistent. Ginn is someone that the defense really has to account for. Steve Smith, while not as fast as he use to be, is still very good. And Greg O is a real threat. And the offensive's play has been adequate in pass blocking.

I COMPLETELY agree.

No. We can't lose to Mike Glennon. We could still lose to a lot of bad teams, but the Bucs and Mike Glennon? Not even someone that's usually pessimistic like me can fathom that. We could lose all of them for the rest of the year, but we're going to at least sweep TB for 5 wins this season. That I can promise you.

Props for coming around and owning up to your previous posts.

Just so this is clear: I really do love Cam Newton and am extremely happy to see how he's played these past weeks minus Arizona. I honestly don't care if everyone thinks I'm an idiot as long as we're winning.

By the way, I do still stand by my previous threads. He still hasn't had a chance to prove himself in a close game late, but if we can rely on enough blowouts to make the playoffs, who cares? And I'm seeing signs of progress anyway.

Please stop pointing out the obvious.

There are clearly folks on here who have issues with Cam. They must be Bama fans. :) I seriously don't want to think it's any other reason.

If I'm not mistaken, Rivera has been more of the bed-shitter in all of the close games, not Cam. When games are close, I still worry about the game management from the sidelines. I don't worry about Cam.

I will keep taking these blow out wins all day though.
