Thought some posters said there was an uncalled push off... I couldn't tell because of the quality of the stream i was watching.

No, Quick just showed why he was drafted so early. Big and fast dude and he blew right by White. the safety must have taken another route.

I'll have to double check but I thought that was JT and the safety blew the coverage over the top.

Was a swim move if anything. He just got beat on the play.

I'm pretty sure it was Melvin White on coverage against Quick on the play where he dropped the pass in the end zone...but Quick had a questionable push-off on that one which allowed for the separation.

 Yeah that one was White, but the deep catch he had was on Thomas.

VJax is a monster and Glennon does have a strong arm, but it's a moot point. Our front 7 is nasty. Glennon can't throw laying on his back.

Although I bet that wuffie can catch laying on his back.

One thing that worries me is that we have not been able to get enough pressure on the QB with the four man rush.  Things haven't been the same since the NYG win.  Not that I expect 7 sacks every week, but there has been an obvious drop off.  We were able to disrupt Bradford enough times to make it count and forced 3 turnovers overall.  However, with VIncent Jackson having a crazy huge year, and with deep corner play being one of our weakest spots, I don't like the trend we are seeing in terms of getting to the QB.

 

Granted, we have a better front 7 than Atlanta...and we also have an offense that can grind the ball when it needs to and score quickly when needed, so that will help.  Playing in Tampa Bay is still going to be a challenge and even though the team stepped up for a much needed win to get us to .500, I'm not quite sold that this team won't revert to its old habits of having major let downs in tight games.

 

We are a much better team than TB on paper, in stats, and W/L, but some of that goes out the window in divisional games.  Plus, it's possible, but very unlikely that an NFL team (even as bad as the Bucs) will go 0-16.  They are likely to win a game here and there.  Its just the law of averages.

 

here's hoping the momentum can carry over into yet another week.  That STL game got emotional and I'd hate to see this team come out flat without intensity. This is a big test and we need to continue the trend of beating team we SHOULD beat.

I am worried because it's a very short turnaround. No one plays good in these Thursday night games. I wish the nfl would get rid of them, but they probably bring in a ton of money.

 

 

At least they are in the same boat and aren't coming off a bye. 

 

Cam is playing great and we aren't featuring the Read Option anymore.  THANK GAWD.

 

If the defense continues to be stingy we'll do OK.

 

Carolina gotta take it to them.
