Cam Is Improving

This is Cam's best season so far, maybe not statistically, but in a lot of other ways I see a young QB really, really improving.  Remember how raw he was when we drafted him, and remember how little time he had in college.  He has improved so much, and I'm so glad I was so very wrong about drafting him.

For all of you crowing about how he isn't improving, watch his progressions, his ball placement, the way he adjusts the velocity of his throws.  He's making smart decisions with the ball and with his legs on most plays, and though he still seems to sometimes get caught by delayed blitzes, he's playing grown by leaps and bounds.  His footwork has improved substantially since he entered the league and you can see it in where the ball is being delivered.  I'm glad he's learning to take what the defense is giving him, too.

Props go out to our receivers and coaches for both stepping up as well, which I think they have overall, I'm not trying to take away from them, but Cam has DEFINITELY improved. He may not put up the same kind of raw yardage totals he did his rookie campaign but this offense is built to win differently now.

I'm so excited to see him continue to grow this season and for years to come.  Go Panthers!

I say the Panthers as a team is improving. Cam is being judged by the accomplishment of this team, so it's only fair to say the team is growing and maturing. Cam has always proven that he's worth his paycheck.

He has been improving the last two seasons. And it is still a work in progress. People should do less hand wringing and more enjoying the ride.

He is the most talented QB to cone out in a while but was also one of the most mentally raw (not talking about intelligence, but experience)

I agree on both counts.  This post was a response to the various people claiming he hasn't been improving.  This has been a common theme and I thought today it was incredibly obvious how much has improved in pretty much every category.  Last week was not some "fluke."

Of course the team is improving, especially the defense, but I think that Cam as a player is also improving.  He has always been very special, but I really think he has improved a lot personally, and I think that deserves recognition, especially given the crap he was getting earlier in the season.

Cam will be one of the greats and he's only getting better. like teeray said enjoy the ride he's not the finished product yet..and we haven't even started to build around him yet.

Cam been improving since late last year where he went on that great pass without -int ratio

Cam is really maturing now and finding that balance between taking what the defense gives him and then taking the chances needed to win the game. I imagine that next year we will bring in some top flight WR talent and then we can really kick into high gear and get alittle more vertical like in 2011.

This, I stated his arm strength was bit of a detriment....trying to throw 20 yard passes on 3rd and 15.  He's really learning that getting 10 yards on a 3rd and 15 isn't a bad thing.
