Watkins or Evans?

Well 4.7 speed will not it as a wide receiver on this team. As a TE we could use him but he's just not big/strong enough to convince me his is anything other than a nightmare match up at the college level.

 

I thought Evans 40 was less than 4.7.

 

He also looks faster than that on the football field, but maybe that's the defender's he's facing.

 

Haven't spent enough time watching college this year to comment much, too busy IRL, but seen a few games from Evans and he looks like more than just a college matchup nightmare.

i would have no problem with either guy actually, as long as this FO addresses this problem early. but a stat i read on roto said Rashad Greene scores every 7 times he touches the ball, compared to Sammy 18 touches.

 

Florida State junior WR Rashad Greene has scored 18 career touchdowns on 139 touches.

That means Greene averages 7.7 touches per touchdown, which is ridiculous. Compare that to Clemson junior receiver Sammy Watkins, who also has accounted for 18 touchdowns but on 252 career touches. Evans won't be there when we pick in the first, and I don't know if Watkins better than Lee. I would love to see combination of Olsen and Ebron, and go back to being 2 TE system, because the offense will be more ball controlling and versatile. We need another red zone target. WR or TE, doesn't matter.

I'm hesitant  on Evans, not because of his speed no. God no. He's faster han you think, definitely has "Game speed" and the routes to break the DB's ankles

 

But just his stats seem..manufactured, to a degree, I dunno. I'm just hesitant.

 

I'd still take him tough, maybe over Watkins, not sure about Lee though. Lee is a beast.

Sammy is Julio V2 and will shoot up draft boards after the combine and so will Lee & R. Greene who will improve his stock. Evans also reminds me of Vernon or Jimmy Graham as a missmatch threat..

Evans = Alshon Jeffery 2.0. Alshon had everyone concerned about speed just like Evans. Both have shown the ability to outrun the defense at times though. Mike Evans is a monster. I want.

 

Also, Jordan Matthews.

After watching Watkins last night, nah. I want a guy who can fight for the ball. Evans may not have killer speed but neither does Fitzgerald, Boldin, and Jackson. Evans knows how to use his body against DBs.

the GOAT was also clocked at 4.7 pre draft.

Didn't seem to affect his career.

Evans. I'm hoping other teams bite on Watkins and Lee and we take him. 4.7? more like 4.58. His long stride deceives you.

Evans is none of these guys. He's just too slim for me to be okay with him. I'd draft him with that extra 5th round pick but no higher than that.
