Dominant Secondary

Unfortunately and logically, if they're having to make tackles, that means they've likely allowed the receiver to catch the ball.....

that is by design...

why intentionally allow for that to be the play for the opponent to make.  It hurts when we face teams that actually want to do it....

i laughed when i read that as well, but thinking about it...i don't know. i mean i don't consider them dominant, but i sure don't consider them the weakness i thought they would be heading into the season.

the font 6/7 makes it easy on them, but i think they are starting to hold their own. it took some shuffling, a couple injuries, and one doghouse to make it happen, but i think they are bordering on respectable. they keep everything in front of them and don't give up much in the way of big plays, if any at all. and teams definitely aren't scoring a whole lot on them. i mean only 4 passing TDs in 5 games? not too shabby.

i think this whole defense is gelling pretty well and they all seem to be handling their jobs well.
