Ideal 1st Round Pick for Carolina [UPDATED]

I don't think Jordan Matthews will make it to our second round pick. I think he is a late first rounder

But I don't think his "measurables" are gonna knock people out at the Combine (he's not a burner, a step slow of game-breaker mode).

 

Additionally he's not had as good a season this year as most expected (more due to his team and not his own performance).

 

I just think (and hope) that would drive his value down such that we can grab him in the 2nd round.

I think realistically we will be able to get Taylor Lewan,Kelvin Benjamin or Ebron because we should be drafting late in the 1st.

Cam to Ebron would be fun to watch. He's essentially a WR in a TE's body. Big, athletic, fast and could go up and get those high throws. Probably won't happen though.

Either one of those 4 WRs will fall to us: Watkins, Evans, Lee, or Benjamin. I doubt 4 teams will pick WRs before us. Only the Jets is guaranteed to pick WR of the teams picking before us. And maybe Cleveland since they have 2 1st rounders.
