Gronk cleared to play Sunday

This has nothing to do with the panthers but I just wanted to get out the word that Rob Gronkowski's agent has put out a statement saying "Rob has been cleared by all of his doctors to play Sunday". What effects do you think this will have on the patriots? Will their offense be back to the elite status as it has been for the Brady era? Will the Patriots have a shot at taking down Denver in the playoffs? The last question is far fetched but if you look at the stats, the Patriots have been settling for field goals all year and have been horrid in the red zone, but Gronk, the #1 red zone threat by stats since his entry into the league could change that and who knows how good New England can be with that threat returning...

It will help them, definitely.  But don't forget they are down WRs that help Gronk get open.  They are also down another TE in Hernandez.  Without that it's just a team with a good TE that other teams "should" be able to gameplan for.

Not to mention on defense they just lost two big time starters.

But as long as Brady is playing they have a chance every Sunday.

No kidding.  NFL had him wired for sound in the NO game.  Pretty standard pep talk to his team, but at crucial moments, he is all biz.  Not only does he have antifreeze in his veins, he must be built out of titanium.  When he gets walloped, even on the sack where two hit him at once, he hardly makes a sound.  Before you jump on me for praising Brady, aside from him being one of the elite, our very own Cam looks up to him, or at least he did back when he met him for the first time doing that UA spot.

I don't know, those rookies have been improving every week over there in NE. We definitely have it easier with Hernandez gone and some of their notable defenders like Wilfork, Mayo maybe some others out when they get us. And Amendola is out every other game so who knows.

It will be slightly easier to scheme for, but they are still the Patriots and they usually find a way to win. We will definitely need someone to step up for us that doesn't usually step up - like Donald or Ginn. They like to take out your best player and that's either Smith or Olsen. I would imagine anyways.

Everything that I have heard about Gronk, is that he is nowhere near the beast that he used to be.  He wasn't able to lift at all this offseason with his injury.  I was hearing that he looks skinny and slow throughout TC and even practice recently.

Fug the Pats!
