If we're talking about players here undeservedly making too much money, I don't think we'd start with Jimmy Clausen.

NFL contract wise that's still pretty low.

 

I'm not arguing for keeping him, but I just don't think there is a major benefit either way if he's gone now or in 2014.

Do I think he is worth it...hell no.

 

But, there is no real cap benefit to cutting him....we would eat some money.

 

Cheaper to keep him than to pay dead money and then pay some other scrub to hold a clipboard.
