What Ram fans are saying

Jackofalltrades

I see a lot of people in this thread that seems to think the Rams will be a pushover. However, a lot of thought that about Buffalo and Arizona. Sadly, I know we could easily lose this game. We are no better than the Rams until we beat them, regardless who we have played or they have played.

This is still a Rivera coached team and most of us know all to well we could come out flat and play like poo.

Both of those games were on the road where arguably home teams have a natural edge and it is always tougher to steal one on the road.  I know we have not had a great home field advantage under Rivera but it seems our players are more pumped up at home.  I know I will be doing my part yelling and cheering to give them encouragement.

like p55 said, home game vs. away game.

we barely lost those two away games. this team is fired up about playing at home. i think it matters this time.

i don't see really a lot of people thinking that the rams are going to be a pushover, but if that's what you're looking for you're probably going to find it.

i just think that no one thinks that the rams are really much of a threat. they could still come out with the win, but there's nothing really scary about them. i think they actually match up pretty well with us, but i think we've got more upside and are more likely to have a lopsided win than they are.

the rams are solid enough, but the panthers are more capable of exploding or imploding on a grand scale.

We've played Seattle and Buffalo, who are ranked 2nd and 3rd respectively.

You expect us to worry now against the 27th ranked run? You're the lowest ranked Run O we've faced this season.

We have one of the best front 7's in the league, we are damn good at tackling and have the best MLB in the league.

No, I don't think we're real worried.

you dont forget you just play teams that do certain things better than others simple as that

I for one am not expecting a blowout but I would glad to see it.  I think the game will be close in the first half.  Depending on the score and whether we can make St Louis pass exclusively instead of being balanced, it plays into our hands.  On the other hand this could be like the Arizona game.   If we outplay them in the first half but don't score points we give them confidence like they had against Houston.  Bradford only threw for 117 yards but had several short fields.  They also ran for almost 100 yards as well.  Still their percentage of scoring drives that go 80 yards or more is low for the year.  One of the keys for us is make them earn every yard and have to drive 80 yards every time to score. Honestly that was one of the keys to how Buffalo and Seattle beat us.  We would move the ball for 30 or 40 yards but were not that often in scoring position.  Then when we got close we settled for field goals.

i would love to blow everyone out, but the reason is i would just like to keep hearing from critics "sure, they can blow people out, but can the win the close ones?"

my answer to that would probably be 'no, we can't win the close ones' but it would still be funny to me.
