Contract was made before the offense wasnt it? I dont see how we can do more to give him production. You want to give him Tolbert's carries in the endzone? or you want Cam to pass less and take less deep shots? hand the ball off more often? I mean pick your poison, theres a game plan and a system already in place that has to be used for the sake of the team knowing where one another is going to be.

those other RBs I mentioned weren't featured RBs.....yet they have more production.  They are not etting all the rushing opportunities for their team. They also have less touches than Williams.

Contract was made w/ Stewart on the roster.  Contract was made after drafting Newton.  All that goes back to the fundamental flaw of overvaluing RBs and overinvesting.  It was all silly.  His extension was silly to begin with.  Pick a RB.  Add roleplayers around one well paid one if you must have a well paid one (which I don't think you do).

Hurney magic....it was dumb.  Might as well call it like it was...

I am going to copy and paste this just for you.

YOU CANNOT ASSESS SCENARIOS WITH STATISTICS IN FOOTBALL.

The systems are different, ok? Williams being overpaid has nothing to do with the argument of whether or not "he needs to do more". He cant do much more in this system so theres really no discussion here is there?

Lol he's overpaid, let me tell you whos overpaid. . . . Politicians.

The 2008 Williams in this current system....would be doing more. That guy was better between the tackles, more explosive and had better vision. He created more on his own. He was great. We now have the 30 yr old version is a lesser version. 30.... its called life. It applies to Williams.

Yeah, system was different then as well.....part in all this you are ignoring is Williams is simply different.

a lesser threat than he was in his peak....

WR career is longer and decline slower as well....generally speaking.  Would apply for Smith.  30 Smith and 30 Williams aren't equals either

Yall trip on week to week basis. its all based on lasts week game and you base their whole career. Smith is still an elite WR and WILL be. He is just the ONLY WR we have. Plain and simple. Think of being a D going to face the Panthers... what things do you look to stop. Cam from running and Steve Smith... what else is there?

Sure, but uhm the point was that Steve Smith was still elite at 30. . . and D'lo, as you very well know while you typed that damn response, hasnt played nearly as many snaps as your avg rb.

. . and now Im feeling the whole "CRA wants to discuss things just to discuss them" so fair enough. I hear ya, I disagree because systems prevent athletes from being more than they are. Their price tags have nothing to do with that.
