JR, Gettleman and Cam

He's top 10 in the league, give it a rest.

You holding on to one stat line.....doesn't make Williams an above average RB.

In his role as a 20 ish carry per game RB and 89 as a #1......neither are above average.

The past and fandom are blurring things

Tired of complaints about cams weapons. Smith, Olsen, Williams, tolbert all average to above average for NFL players. Lafell and Ginn adequate to average. That's six playmakers all of which new England would love to have. Get cam line help, way before adding "weapons".

This is probably the dumbest statement I have read all week.

Agreed. We need a new #1 WR, #2 TE, and another decent receiver, but a new LT, RT, and RG are a MUCH higher priority if you ask me. Our O-Line has played above themselves as of late but they are still pitiful.

I buy "adequate to average" for LaFell, but not Ginn.  I think he's potentially one of the more dangerous players we have on offense if they continue finding ways to use him.

No they aren't. Olsen maybe.

Williams isn't above average. Smith isn't either anymore....not based on the role they are playing here.

That's why it was qualified average to above average. Average on the low, above average on the high. Reading comprehension is a valuable skill. If you don't think dlo and smitty are atleast average players you are insane

I'm sure he believes DWill is average at best, while he would rate Stew as above average.

Just a wild guess.

Alot of huddlers last week brought up the comments Gettleman made about pocket QBs being the best type of QB to win a superbowl. Many hinted that he'll let Cam walk or trade him before he resigns him.

I don't think there is a chance in Hell Cam goes anywhere.  While Gettleman may be in charge I seriously doubt that Jerry would ever sign off on letting Cam go anywhere.

We all remember before the Draft Cam sat down with JR for quite some time.  You could call it an interview but I think it was just JR seeing what he was getting into.  Once he signed off on Cam unless Cam fails miserably I just don't see this ever happening.

As much as it pains me,  Luck is not facing the sophomore slump and is pretty much all who we thought he was.  He's a gamer.

But, so is Cam.  Many talk about Cam not going through his progressions but on Lafell's TD, Lafell was the 3rd option so though it is only one instant, Cam is improving.

Cam's a Panther for life, we won't trade him, we won't let him walk and the sooner the fair weather fans get that through their thick skulls the better.

This is why folks don't see Luck as "having a slump." Outside of his team playing well, he's simply not treated the same way as Cam. There is no one sitting there micro-scrutinizing Luck the way you folks are doing to Cam week in and out, .

As a matter of fact, they barely want to say Luck has inaccuracy issues. Instead it's his Receivers getting the bulk of blame for him throwing his balls to short or to long. And when it's more than obvious that he threw an inaccurate ball, it's seen as his "slightly inaccurate throw." No biggie.

In the meantime some of you treat Cam like some sort of mental case with talent. SMDH I simply can't believe how naturally discriminating some of you are. U don't even stop and think about what you're posting.

I'll just say this. Dude isn't even in his prime yet. Get real nfl level weapons, a decent oline, a qb coach who can really teach him pocket fundamentals, and an oc who embraces cams talents and this team will consistently win 11+ games a year.

I agree.

I don't understand why Luck can get all the assistance in the world and folks coming in from his college to teach him and no one is question his QB capabilities but with Cam anyone helping him is seen as an "issue" with him.

Yea like how they talk about how clutch "Luck" is. Even tho he threw a game sealing pick last night
