I'm not trying to be cocky, but it wasn't luck. The same things that caused him to bust horribly are the same flaws he had in college. He just had incredible college talent around him to mask them. Just about anyone who watched Clausen enough could tell he was never going to be a starting QB in the NFL. I wouldn't have even drafted Clausen based on what he showed me at ND.

okay, I'm going to call it again: Fisher and Lane Johnson will be look at as bad picks 3 years from now.

Why didn't Luck lift up his team and get them more than one trip into the red zone?

BTW I think Luck is good. And I don't care if he went back to school.

My frustration is the media anointment he has received when other guys even in his draft are equal or better than him.

He literally always gets a pass or excuses made for him while other guys (ahem) are not given the same benefit of the doubt

 

It's the media. They exploit the weak. I think that Luck gets a "pass" bc he's "WHITE" and is considered to be a true pocket passer. Hate it or love it, it's the truths. But, most importantly he has a charisma and leadership among him. People likes that. I know I do. Luck isnt on the sideline with a towel over his head or lifting weights by himself. He isnt out there attacking his HC (RG3).

 

Just imagine, if Cam wasnt the QB of this team, wouldnt you think Cam is pretty annoying sulking on the sideline? Guarantee you sure would.

Andrew Luck never played against an SEC team.  If he had he would have been exposed ...badly.  Andrew Luck vs 2011 Alabama and LSU?  OMG.... it would have been disgusting.  RG3 would have been the number 1 pick.  

 

That being said, college is not the pro's.  Andrew Luck may be a better "pro" style QB than Cam(I don't think that means better but I concede that point), however in the college game there is no way Luck would have won a NC with that Auburn team.   Matter of fact He would have lost at least 3 games that year with that team.

 

I dont care about college resume anymore.

So the Colts only score 9 points against a defense giving up 25 points a game. Should we just say Luck is even worse because he didn't do more against a bad defense?

I mean if Cam is going to get dinged for lighting up bad defenses, what does that say about Luck who could only get in the redzone once against a bad defense?

Hindsight 20/20, sure. But I dont think anyone couldve seen that he wouldve been out of the league after 3 years. You got it right, but you may have just been lucky for calling it right.

 

 

in all honesty i didn't watch enough of clausen at ND to make an accurate call on him. but from what i did see, i wasn't impressed at all. when i saw him taking notes during a random interview i KNEW he was a clown (i'd go as far as to call him an idiot... why the fug would you ever take notes during an interview?) and had zero shot at succeeding in the NFL.

5 years from now Cam Newton will be the face of American pro sports.

Luck will be average.

Wilson will be average.

CK7 & RG3 will be out of SF & WAS.
