Why are people getting excited over Cam's play today?

Pretty sure the Panthers have the #1 scoring defense in the league after today. This 2-3 start sure ain't on them.

What's wrong with 2-3 at this point?  Hey, I'd like to be 5-0 but 3-2 had to be the mark, the Panthers have invested one dime in offensive talent the last couple of years..Smitty is long in the tooth and feisty but a has lost a step.  Lafell is still learning and getting better...thank goodness they picked up Ginn.

I think Stew returning and getting the other little guy from Oregon involved is really gonna make the O click.

Last year Cam was top 10 in the NFL in 4th quarter QB rating at @94. Mr. Clutch Luck was @ 70.

But what you need to do is divide that 4th quarter QBR by the additive total of Newton's birth date.

Only then will you see the true story.

Sure the stats are there. But what about the wins??

I guess some people forget about the defenses performance against Seattle and Buffalo during the closing minutes?

This is good enough reason to show you the OP is full of it.

He/she dismisses stats (and not applying context) when it's Newton. However, he/she implore stats when it's the defensive unit, despite their repeated failings when the game counts (i.e., ignoring context), ironically the same argument he's using against Cam.

Obviously an attention starved hapless troll.

Now Let's move on

Exactly, expecting Cam to have a come back game from the sidelines.

Not totally, Cam and O does have problems in the red zone.  However, that's why you pay somebody 2+ mill year as an OC coordinator to implement creativity.  Not even Brady can sit and pocket and wait on receiver separation...I'm not sure if Shula can repeat the exceptional play calling today, but give me 80% of that and we'll score many more TDs.

What's wrong? We have the #1 scoring defense in the league and what has been billed as a Super Bowl caliber quarterback and yet we still can't say we've been over .500 since December 2008. 2-3 is not acceptable.

Oh, I agree with the frustration but can certainly handle it better than you...this is the first time I think the Panthers have a shot at the playoffs in years....Cam is maturing and D is solid....get Stew back and Ginn in the mix, it could very well happen.
