Why are people getting excited over Cam's play today?

Seattle: Cam had negative passing yards on that last drive, 2 passing yards total for the quarter. Also, we were still 10 yards away, Cam still had time to screw it up if he did have to throw.

Buffalo: Cam's worst quarter of the game was the 4th, look it up.

So he drove us down the field just not the way you will accept

Stats prove that Cam Newton is one of the worst quarterbacks in the league late in games within 1-score games.

 

Well, maybe since the coach has grown of pair of gonads, that will change plus an OC that properly utilizes his immense skill set.  The only stat that matters is how the Panthers end up in regards to W-L this year.  All that other stuff really doesn't mean much because there tons of other factors that determine whether the team wins in crunch time or not..

I agree he looked good today. Great really. One of the best games of his career. I'm only posting this because so many people are going "SEE YOU HATERS! SEEE! SEEEEEEEEEEEEE! I TOLD YOU CAM WAS AWESOME, STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT HIM!!!!" today. No one questioned whether he had the ability to have games like this, he's proven time after time he can. But 2011 and 2012 and 2013 going by our 2-3 record should prove that those don't mean jack if you can't get it done in crunch time.

Yes, I'd like to congratulate Cam on his expert handing-off-the-ball skills. Super Bowl worthy.

 

Relax.....enjoy the victory.  If  Cam fails in the near term, he'll be traded, etc...then we'll get another QB with less talent, needs to be trained up and back to square one.

 

Are you on crack or meth....plenty of rehab centers around the country.

Problem is you too stuck on blaming the QB who is relatively young in football years.  1 year of college ball in a spread offense.  He's really just learning the game, but plenty of games have been squandered away without any help from Cam. The coach sets the tone....going for it on 4th down today was the key.  One or two more games like that from Rivera and who knows.

Ask yourself this question: Why would I set myself up so easily like this? If Cam is so very able to perform well under pressure, don't you think it would be very easy to make me look very stupid? The more threads like these I make, the bigger the potential hole I'm digging right? 

 

Maybe you guys actually have no confidence in Cam at all when the pressure is on him to win the game. Anybody think the Patriots win that game today if you put Cam under center that last drive? 

 

yeah, that win was all thanks to brady right?

 

you must have forgotten about the pick he threw down by 1 with 3 minutes left.

 

i'm not sure why you're so eager to put everything on the QB.
