Look young lady, I do not know why that is such a surprise to you.  I don't think he is.  Too many peaks and valleys.  And while no one is supposed to be or expected to be perfect, his valleys are looooooww.  Considering how high the peaks are in contrast the only logical explanation is that there is a serious disconnect going on somewhere.  A worrisome one.  At least to me it is.

 

Unless of course you Cam-fanz are proposing the utterly preposterous theory that the valleys are not at all him but rather the simultaneous poor outings of coaches, oline, running game, and receivers.

The Buffalo game was absolutely on Cam and the offense. The defense hot turnovers inside the Bill's 30 twice...and the offense could not manage a td. Score a td on either of those series and the game was won.

The Seattle game was just one if two great defenses against two pretty good offenses. It was a defensive slugfest where Seattle was able to make a couple if plays and we came up just short. I have no heartburn over that loss other than it was within our grasp.

 

The Buffalo game is on the coach...4th and 1, close the deal.  It's not easy scoring TDs in the NFL..20+ points is enough to win with the Panthers D and certainly was in the Buffalo game.  Sometimes the D has to win games and coaches gotta have enough guts to play to win....Rivera has play not-to-lose on too many occasions, you'll get burnt in the NFL.

the year Jake took us to the bowl he played on a level that Cam has not even dreamed about.  I'm not a jake fan at all.  I never was.  But despite his utterly inept athletic ability in comparison to Cam he was lights out something better than Cam has shown.

And they had to make a stop because Cam and the offense could not manage anything in the 2nd half. One stat line was 7 plays for 7 yards and a FG.

Defense gave him short fields and he did not get it done.

My three year old had a Cam jersey last year and a new one to fit this year.  he has the black LS #1 tee as well this year.  I think the guy is lights out talented.  

 

He is not anywhere near where I thought he would be at this point.  I have given him plenty of rope.  He keeps hanging me with it.  I don't care if you think he is the best thing going or not.  I just do not agree.
