Cam's problem is decision making in the red zone.  A lot of that is he and the coaches relying on that arm strength but the receiver corps isn't up to task to create enough separation which is difficult to do in the red zone.  Today, the OC demonstrated the type of play mix that works instead of line em up and find the open dude Cam.  Nope, no QB in the league is that good...well, maybe Brady and couple others but New England is full of tricks and trinkets.

Cam still has a ways to go and maybe he gets there...maybe not.   He has come  a LONG ways in 3 years....

I think Cam has been fine in the redzone this year.

He's thrown plenty of short passes for TD's compared to other years already. Yes, the play calling helps as well. But Cam has done his part to reading the defense/field, while making quicker decisions down there.

I feel last week [we hope] was an aberration (and I read your break down an analysis of how coaching hindered Cam).

As long as Cam gets the proper play calling, I feel he's up to the task. Cause when he has time or gets in a rhythm he can be quite exceptional. He is a true pocket QB already (who's still learning), which is more than I can say about Kaep and RG3.

However, he just needs his coaching to give him a little help/competence, confidence in them, so [even] when things go bad he can still complete, create plays. Like you said: Once the snow ball starts running downhill, what can you do?

I only brought up Brady, to tweak some of the more unreasonable Huddler's, who don't seem to watch many other NFL games, noticing that all QB's make bad throws or miss people during games. It's that "perfection" that you had referenced (not to expect week in week out) earlier.

Oh, and Brady just wildly over threw a wide open receiver just now in their game vs New Orleans (since this thread is addressed to Cam haters, who act like he must be perfect every game, no matter what). The throw would have probably went for a TD.

Brady also just threw a likely game-losing interception with a little more than 2:00 left in the game and the Patriots down by 4.

But, according to the haters, its OK for a QB that has won a Super Bowl to make boneheaded throws that lose games, because shut up.

And with less than a minute left, Brady gets the ball back and the Patriots march down the field and win the damn game.

Couldn't be more happy to be wrong.  :P
