I hope AP gets KTFO this game...

AP is the best player in the NFL IMHO. He's liable to go off for 20/150/2 on any given Sunday, and now this game has some added motivation with all eyes on him today. Throw in the fact that the refs probably aren't going to call anything on the Vikes....I see a beat down coming today and it's going to be a long week until we play the Rams next Sunday.

we are Carolina, so its likely

This isn't intended to be a troll comment, but I also find it extremely odd that a baby momma sits on a paternity test when the child's father is one of the most lucrative athletes in the USA.

It's awful what's happened to this child and it makes my heart hurt that the sociopath who murdered him exist in our society.

Apparently back in early July AP didn't even know about the kid. The mom assumed it was another guy's. So up until then she never had AP do any paternity testing.

Yes or No:

After the Doctors told him his son "wasn't expected to survive", did AP leave his son's side to attend practice?

Is that what the doctor said? If so perhaps he said his goodbyes.I went and saw my grandfather before he passed away said my goodbyes to him. ... didn't need to stay watch him pass over though

Never ever have I heard of someone's kid dying on a Friday and then going back to work on a Sunday but to hear the sports channels tell it, AP is some kind of Father of the Year!

Right--we don't watch/get news any longer.  We get sensationalized hype designed to boost ratings. Truth?  Who cares. Viewership is all that matters.

Our politicians are aware of this--truth?  Nah. Say a lie often and with conviction, and it becomes reality.

what I read on PFT (take with a massive grain of salt) the doctors said  there was a significant chance the boy died. AP is at practice 2 hours later.

What was/wasn't said between AP and the people involved, we can only speculate.

Yes, the child's life was such a utopia the mom was passing out paternity tests left and right in the attempt to get child support.

Like many, you have a preconceived idea of what happened and will force any item into that box whether it fits or not.

It happens with any story like this.

Oh well I'm not invested in this.

Undoubtedly we are gonna have to hear about this every time he touches the ball. I will probably want to put my remote through the tv before the day is over. The tragedy is the kid. Fk this loser who didn't step up and be his dad. I'm sure his teammates support him since most of them probably enjoy the same "baby mama" lifestyle as Peterson.

I don't have a problem with him playing this week.  Only thing I was taken back from was not being there till the childs last breath.  If it was me, I don't care if I just found out right after the accident the child was mine.  I wouldn't care if the people that has been in the child's life since birth didn't want me there.  I wouldn't leave that child's side.

It's hard to step up when there wasn't an option to step up. Save the remote and use your head

Strictly from a FOOTBALL and MEDIA perspective (and only that), we should all prepare for one of two outcomes, neither of which will benefit the Panthers.

1. A motivated and inspired Peterson has a huge day and wins because, of course, that's the happy ending the media wants.  Panthers who??

2. Peterson turns in a poor performance - who can blame him, his mind is preoccupied with the recent death of his child, it's amazing he had the courage to even suit up today - we applaud his effort.  Panthers who??

If you didn't already realize this, just prepare yourself.  Go Panthers!
