"Could Dave Gettleman's plans for the Panthers future not include Cam Newton"

Andrew Luck's family is weathy. He had the luxury of coming back to compete for a national championship and get his degree. He wasn't dodging the Panthers. To be honest, the Colts wouldn't be considered a great option either. Who wants to come in to replace the great Peyton Manning?

Like you said, Luck's family is wealthy. But not luck himself. So is Manziel's family, that didn't stop him from charging little change for autographs. Panthers fans are delusional, I tell ya! Luck was not the first player that avoided a potential suitor in the draft. Eli manning did similar thing to the chargers. Don't feel bad. Denying it won't change the fact.

who the hell is Dave Gettleman though, really? He's an old, waspy white guy who is stuck in a time warp with his head up his ass. What has he ever done in this game? LOL... he didn't build those Giants for titles, a guy named Accorsi did. Gettleman is lucky he's in this position and if his big move on the chess board is to pull his Queen (Cam Newton) then he is destined to be a loser who never accomplishes anything... Cam is the only thing aside from Luke we have going right now, sorry but thats just the truth. Gettleman in my mind this is a power trip thing.... he did nothing this year to surround cam with talent and if he cant see rivera is the problem then Gettleman is part of the problem.

He would actually do Cam a favor though. You don't think Cam would love go to another organization with better coaching staff and weapon? I do. But mostly likely DG would get fired the following year when the team goes 0-16 because the media would feast on it. Getting rid of Cam after not giving him any weapon and then going 0-16. I think DG is smarter than the fans he wouldn't do something that stupid. Especially while he is watching his ex-pocket passing QB Eli shitting the bed on pace to record setting INTs. Even though Eli have 3 top notch WRs. Gettleman is not that dumb. In fact, I think he's more likely to keep Cam as insurance policy for his job.

I try really hard to study college QBs and project how

they will translate to the NFL. I usually do pretty good (or at least I think so others may disagree).

And I can honestly say I have no fugging clue how Manziel will do in the NFL. I mean like, none.

He is going yo be an interesting player once he gets there.

I agree with you. The he OL is too good to really know how he'll fare when he is behind those 3 second NFL OL where he has to get the ball out quick. What people seem to assume is that the talent level in the NFL is greater so those college super stars will fare better but that's farther from the truth. The talent in the NFL evens out. In the NFL there are not often open receivers, balls have to fit in tight spots down after down. Not just one good throw.

Yesterday Ole Miss rushed only 3 most of the game, and I'm not exaggerating, sometimes Manziel had like 10 seconds to decide whether to run or throw. That's backyard football. Only time will tell if some coaching can turn him into an NFL QB.

The rookie contract for the 1st overall pick is about 20 mill for 4 years. I'll leave the math to you.

We're talking about football here where ACL injuries is up 10 fold on the weekend nationally. I'm sure Luck gave up $5mil for the love of the game. In fact, you can argue that not only Luck gave up $5mil but also risk decapitation to avoid playing for the panthers. Now, that's funny!

I understand what you're saying. He missed out the first year of his contact payment by going back. But your Pennsylvania education doesn't allow you to see that he just delayed that payment by going back. Now, he gets that last year of payment a year after he would've gotten it. So, he didn't miss it.

And ACL injuries are up? How many QBs tore their ACLs this year in college? Last year? The year before? I'm not sure the exact number, but I say it's less than 20 in the past five years. Could be less than 8.

Please stop. Just stop.

Did you see the Munchie Legaux's injury? This is serious stuff. Don't watch this if you don't have the stomach for it:

I don't care how many people suffer catastrophic injury the last however many years but 1 is too many.

Actually, Luck Came to the league at 22 instead of 21. He'll never get that one year of contract money back. That money was never guaranteed to him, unless the Colts had made some off the books backdoor deal with him. No such thing as delaying payment for college athletes. You don't get paid in the NFL if you're not helping a team win.  Matt Barkly did the same stupidity also. He aint getting jack. Lol. But Luck did get insurance when he was in college in case of career ending injury which cost him even more.

This post right here is why some people should not post. Welcome to a clusterfug. To illustrate my point if we list the total number of prototypical LBs starting on NFL teams compared to non prototypical guess what's larger. In other words we should trade Luke while he still has some value. I mean you see what happened with that Thomas Davis guy.

Is your comment RE: posting directed at me, and if so, please explain yourself, and where the fug I said anything about trading Cam or anything.  I've been vehemently against it and you look at my post right above that one you'd see to what I was referring.
