No We're Going To Win Threads From Zod?

It's funny how I spoke of offensive struggles all preseason and was called a nancy and Debbie. Now all of a sudden people are saying what happened to this offense. The writing was on the wall.

This team can't just can't put up points in the red zone. Either the play calling sucks, or the line breaks down, or the wrs drop passes, or the qb throws it to the other team. Damn offense full of can't get rights.

I was never optimistic about this offense because I saw it in the preseason. It scares me to death when the offense has the ball because you never know what your going to get. No identity just a bunch of randomness.

The defensive line has only impressed me when they've played at home. Luke has to be feeling the way Cam felt in 2011.

I actually feel bad for Ron after the Arizona game the players let him down in that one.

I thought this team would go 9-7 or 10-6, but they just continuously find a way to beat themselves. It's times in the game where the Panthers look like the best team in football on both sides of the football only to find a way to lose.

Welcome back to reality of the Carolina Panthers Zod, just good enough to lose it in the end.

Kinda feel the same way...I was upset when Hangartner was released.  Not because of the player but because of the timing.  Since then the offensive line has been a mess but I remember people telling me that a savior would come after cuts.  LOL.  Unless you consider Wharton that savior.

It was no less a mess with Hangartner here.

He was never really that good.

That, plus there's a bit of a pall on this game.

Pretty strong feeling that once all the details of the story from Adrian Peterson's family are known, it's going to be awful :(

& on top of that, just because of who he is, there are most likely reporters sniffing around trying to get a scoop during the most fugged up time of their lives.

Yep. And while some may be honest journalists, others will be bottom-feeding vultures.

Like a tragedy of this sort wouldn't be hellish enough as is... :(

Yeah I now.  Wasn't necessarily the player but the timing.  They never really addressed the situation all offseason and then released the penciled in starter a week into camp.

That was my problem with it more so than hangartner being released.

They will go 10-6, miss the playoffs, and Rivera will be back next season.

Hardy, Ginn, LaFell, Mikell, Mitchell, etc will all leave and follow the money. Williams, Stewart, Godfrey, etc will be cut.

Gross will retire, Smitty will be traded, Fua will be given an extension, as well as Rivera.

1/2/3 rd picks will be used on DE/CB/FS while 4/5/6 and the 6th from the Beason trade will go towards OL/WR/OL/WR to replace Gross and Smitty.

A bunch of no name, veteran OL/WR will be signed in FA.

Lafell will be lucky to find a job another team.

To be fair/honest there were quite a few of us who were not sold on our offense....Zod being one of the most outspoken against Shula....

The offense stunk during the preseason so there was very little hope to go off of in the first place :(

I went on several rants about the offense in the preseason and got the "it's just preseason talk"

    • Start with Bryce, this is like his rookie year. The 1st 2 games proved her was wired wrong and it looks like (we hope) he needed a time out to reset and be the player that was drafted. He's still about a year or more away from being a top 15 QB, if the Panther give him another playmaker or 2 (a top WR and a decent TE) and maintain that line. Canales deserves credit as playing that card correctly to motivate (or refocus) his QB for one last shot to decide his and the Panthers immediate future. As a Panther fans we should hope he keeps improving as we invested so much to get him. CJ Stroud will never have a season like he had, even if he stays a top 10 QB. He's got great character so I'm rooting for Bryce to continue on his positive journey. Canales is playing the week to week thing with bryce perfectly. Nothings guaranteed, earn it weekly which builds consistency and consistency is greatness.  Keep the O-line. They've got to extend Brady C, along with Mayes that have a real good 7. Great job Morgan starting with the big guys upfront.  I really hope they draft a DE or OLB in the 1st round. Getting Brown back with A Robinson and what DJ has shown that we can have a decent D-line. Need a CB in the early rounds/ or a time FA to go with Horn.  The future as to next year being good enough to challenge for the division is within reach. Just show progress (win or lose) every week. Kudos to Dan Morgan. Plays GM like a LB. Tackle the problem and move on, don't just hope it works out. Find guys with your playing mentality and work closely with your HC to share a vision. Teamwork starts at the top and flows down.
    • Since we play the Panthers today and tmrw, we will have one gigantic double thread for both games. Today’s game is at 3pm and tmrw is 7pm.    After beating the Rangers and sending the those yankee bastards back to Cary, we get the Champs in the house.  Clean up the defense, no more lazy clears, and score baby score.  LFG CANES!
