Should we go after Gonzalez?

I gotcha the first post I just ranted about "shut down corners" because it's a pet peeve of mine.

seriously though our O-line has actually played rather well this season( and I was hating on them in the preseason so I'm actually surprised by this), for example of the 3 sacks Cam in the first half against the Cards 2 were simply from him not throwing the ball away and one was because he tried to rush it and took a loss(qb rush for lost counts as a sack)I remember watching the game a screaming at one point "throw the damn ball away" QB's have 3 second to get rid of the ball anything past that is on the QB 90% of the time.

WR is a concern but we dont need anymore #2 WR's we have 4 #2 options right now, the problem is we dont have that go to #1 anymore, smith isnt it. and there is no easy way to fix this at all.

I dunno...is it too early to say Amini is injury prone...don't know how Kug is, hope he turns out well...Bell is damn sure not consistent...Gross lost a step and brought back Wharton who is in the same boat as Gross, we need too much

Gross has played very well this year actually, better then last year so far.

Amini played very good before the injury, you are never going to have a oline that is 100% no holes, and if you do like the issue we are about to have with Hardy and have unit that is all around solid it doesnt stay together for long(too expensive), last 3 really good o-lines we had was 2003 and 2008, 2009. the one we have now before Amini went on IR was probably the best unit since.

our 2008-2009 squad is probably the best O-line we have ever had.

That's the thing, how long can we expect Gross to play well...we have seen how a QB with weapons ain't nothing without OL (Eli)

I know division rivals don't typically trade with each other very often, but the idea seems tempting. Saw an article on NFL.com about it making sense for ATL to shop him.

I mean think about:

With Julio's season ending injury, ATL's chances look slim at best. It would make sense for him and ATL. TG won't be playing much longer and they could get a late rounder for him. (That wouldn't be much to give up for a Newton to Gonzalez/Olsen set-up)

After all, Cam's best statistical season was due to the two TE set. He would def help open up receivers. Something to at least throw out there.

Hey! A guy can dream right???

WE ARE NOT A fuging CONTENDER

Wow! Haha! Guys, take it easy. I already said it was very unlikely ATL would trade him to us anyway. Plus, I said "a guy can dream" which means its pretty much out of the realm of possibility (to happen).

I kno ppl don't see us as a contender, but TG could help with that. We rank 3rd in total defense and so far have played in VERY winnable games. (Score against cards doesnt tell whole story) TG could make a difference just being on the field. You can't deny that. (Except maybe saying our coaching would find a way to make him useless.....touche)

But face it, there has been much worse posted on this forum. (While being SERIOUS)

Like trading Cam while we have time!

And lets tank the season after week 2!

I'm just going to say it...when that ass face decided to come back for one more season thinking they could make that push to the Super Bowl, I was salty.  Of course we all want ATL to fail.

Now that they are shitting the bed this year, I'm happy as hell he came back for the train wreck he is a part of.  Let him finish out this year in utter disappointment and failure, then retire with that taste in your mouth, Gonzalez.

Fug Atlanta, and everything about them.
