Minnesota - Land o' lakes and bearded women

1) The quote about the pallbearers is genuine, but it was written by a fan of the Cleveland Browns just before he died.

2) But for the hand of fate, I would have killed the entire band Abba. Many years ago I was in LA on business and was driving on Sunset near Hollywood. The band Abba were in the middle of the fugging street for a photoshoot and I didn't see them until the last second. Since then, every time I hear their music, I kind of wish my reflexes weren't quite so good.

One of the absolute hottest girls I've dated  was from Minnesota. My girlfriend's cousin is from Minnesota, and she's a knock out as well.

I think Minnesota is the state where everyone eats that salted, dried fish jerky. Gross.

Lutefisk is not really fish jerky.  It's fish soaked in Lye!  (Yes Lye!) The smell alone will drive you out of the house!

Lefse is a potato flat bread.  Bland, but can be made edible.

Both are traditional dishes of Norwegian descendants.  (Minnesotans)

I lived in Rochester, MN for almost 6 years before I moved to Charlotte to thaw out. (Snow season runs between mid-October and beginning of May!)  If Memorial Day is sunny, everyone goes out and has a picnic!

There are beautiful women in Minnesota.  (Assuming you like blue eyed Blondes!)

Loni Anderson was a well known model in Minnesota before she hit the big time with WKRP!

There are women with other color of hair, but they weren't born there.  And Yes, there are some women that are "packing"!  :startle:   Oh, and don't expect them to shave during the Winter months!  Thank God they were pants during the Winter.  The sight of hairy legs on a woman is not a good look!  (In my book at least!)

There are 10,000 Lakes, but I swear there are only about 6 fish!  (And they were NEVER in the lake I was in at the time!)

The best thing that Minneapolis/St Paul is known for is Prince.  (The Purple guy.)   He's well known for performing free at local night spots.

St Paul is also known for it's Ice Festival.  (So called because it's a huge celebration & Carnival held in the middle of January!)

People from Minnesota are well known for walking around during football season wearing helmets with horns.  I think they film all the Capital One commercials in Minnesota!

Vikings.jpg

Purple is the official color of Minnesota.  Vikings & U of M.  (University of Minnesota.) Besides purple flowers all over the state, there is such as bird called the Purple Finch and of course the Purple Martin!

Why you gotta be introducin' facts into a smack talk thread. Bewbies make the world a better place though, so carry on.

U of M colors are maroon and gold btw.
