My only point is that Cam Newton is NOT being held to some "other-worldly" standard as many people believe.

 

He is being judged on his production.

That is the reason he is held to a different standard! Every stupid person could realize that if a team is not winning with that much production, the problem must be from more than the QB sucks. The Bengals are winning despite Dalton.

yep, he and the other cam haters came out of hiding in the past couple weeks just thrilled that cam wasn't doing well and the team was struggling so they can toot their weak "cam's the problem" horn.

 

once he finds his groove again and the team does better they'll crawl back under that rock they crawled out from underneath.

 

i make it a point to avoid any kind of discussion with them. if their opinions were worth a crap they would have been here when cam wasn't struggling and the team was going through a winning spell.

 

if cam's lighting it up, they're gone. he hits a bump and they show up. it's just not worth bothering with them. just not worth the effort. if their opinion was valid, they would have been shouting the same crap the whole time.

He had a great season for a rookie, although we are seeing more and more QB's come into the NFL ready to play.

 

HE took our offense from last to 5th??? I though this was team game and that the reason Newton was struggling was due to the poor play of his teammates and to the utter incompetence of his coaches. I think I get it now, if Cam wins it is because of Cam. If Cam loses it is because of others.

 

The laughable thing about your argument is that you are talking about two years ago...you are really talking about the first 4 games of two years ago.

 

Incidentally, Rob Cudzinski had a hand in Newton's success, as well as the players around him. Last year as well as his rookie year.

 

I thoroughly believe Carolina has gone to this offense for a couple of reasons...and one of those reasons is to find out what they really have in Cam Newton. Is he a "franchise QB"??? Or not??? He has 12 games left this year to answer the question.
