you're right in a sense... for cam to be successful, he needs receivers that can make miracle grabs on a daily basis..

 

I'm sure NFL.com has the video of peterson's int. Smitty had him beat, cam threw a lazer to peterson.. if he'd only put some arch on the ball......TD smitty

 

We can never be sure cos Smitty did drop one that was right on the money ;).

I do think Cam could have played better, but it should be pretty obvious I'm much more saying that Russel finds ways to win the game for his team.

 

How can Cam find a way to win in our game with Seattle? He was on the sidelines for the last five minutes of the game and our D did not get him the ball back.

 

Against the Bills, he was on the sidelines (having left the game with a lead) and our defense got scored on by the rookie QB. These two games go differently and we are 3-1.

 

How is he going find a way to win from the sidelines? Maybe he should play defense too!

who we gonna blame for those? to me, i see a bunch of variables and one constant

QBs will always be THE constant factor in INTs whether they throw a good ball or not.

You mean like the other 31 QBs in the league who have Receivers who can make "miracle grabs?" Clearly many of those QBs have WRs who can help them out of a bad throw. I guess the Panthers' WRs are the exception to the rule. Not even the perfect throws Cam was giving them, they were willing to catch on Sunday. I guess Cam needs to walk the ball down to them during this Sunday's game. And if they drop the ball before they get to the End-Zone, he may have to take it down to the goal-line and hand it to them in the End-Zone. Now there is a visual.

 

BTW, I see you need much attention. Find your endless spinning and logic very amusing.

Where good plays refer to? TDs? Yds? Completion %? Because if that is what you want to talk about, you will find examples in this thread that show that TEAM dynamics do affect these outcomes. There is data in this thread showing three QB with similar production but different outcomes wrt W and L.

if the game is close would you trust cam to win the game? cam has been very inconsistent.. if you just look at the games, he will have more negative plays then positive.. rather that be an incorrect read, throwing off his back foot, whatever.. in one series drive, we can't have the qb constantly making 3-4 errors.. it might not seem like a big deal... but it stalls the momentum

      I think they should just end the drama and tell him he's playing for his next team. Full stop. This week to week "do they, don't they", "will they, won't they" stuff is crazy.  Maybe Shanahan will trade one of their 3rds for him rather than pay Purdy the big dollars--he's certainly on the list of coaches I think would say, "They're just not using him right". Plus Lynch already knows the Panthers' price list. Bryce can head back home to California and Carolina can continue its neverending quest to replace Cam.
